Mining and Ratting for BUM

Post by friznit »

In addition to the permanent NR mining area in Period Basis, we're likely to be getting access to a -1.0 system in Branch soon (QYZ). This has Merx, Crokite, 36 belts and a refinery station in system (15% tax) with jump clones.

We will be able to use this system whenever MC is on contract (i.e. when they're away), and it'll be access to all members of BUM. There will not be the same set up as in NR (well, there might be but we won't be running it) and I won't be running the logistics so it's a bit of a free for all rather than the organised operation in PB. But it'll be there if you want it.

I'll let you know as soon as we get confirmed access.

sounds good just 2 more questions since at work reading this.
1) what rats?
2) we allowed to rat/explore or just mine?

Guristas I think. We can do whatever we want in the system - rat, explore, mine, pick daisies or sing songs but I'm sure the usual caveats will apply - we'd be guests of MC and if an MC pilot want to rat or explore, he gets first dibs and you'll have to move aside. They're pretty cool though and 35 belts should sustain 3 or 4 ratters no probs.

FYI, MC have rented out the surrounding space to another ratting corp for 1bill per week...we're getting this for free. Ain't that nice? So in return we should mine when we can so MC get some refinery tax or we'll bung them a few hundred mill a week to pay for POS fuel (they originally wanted 350mill a week or something).

We'll worry about how to get stuff there closer to the time.

guristas easy to shield tank in a hulk so should be no big change from the nr dealings. this sounds like fun since i have a skiff just collecting dust for ever. Has anyone ever mined meroxit? excited about that personally.

By the time we go hopefully we'll have exploration skills completed and get us some cool deadspace complexes or something to do. good work on setting this up :likesitall:

do guristas drop gisti or pith gear?

Oooh, with Jump Clones! /me is interested! I'd love to mine something outside Empire, I'd better get my other high end ore and shield skills trained up then! I have been slowly mining up a stockpile for a freighter, and have been playing the trit market a bit to leverage the isk I've got into a profit to continue ramping up my mineral stocks until I can build one for sale for some profits. Kinda a long slow process, but such is the playtime I've got atm. I really need to get some standings w/ the local chaps to reduce tax on ores and such so I can refine my stockpile of empire ores! Mining bigger and shinier stuffs would rock!
