Since last week had such interesting input on historical matters, I pose another: What's the story of Joan of Arc?

Tis a matter I don't recall any instruction on in American schooling, yet believe it was a pretty significant and interesting tale. Aside from references to it, I have no info though, and I have questions from my son on the matter. My plan is to go home and Wiki it with him, but hoping for other input as well.

Sorry for the salt in old wounds, I truly am NOT on a quest to point out military losses, just a 5punky quest for some historical answers is all. btw, how's the rain doing over there?
