I've sent him a message too, as I think I too need to roll a shitload of dice but I want to make sure I do the right amount :)

I believe the most important info about vehicle tests is on page 168 of the 20th Ed. book.

Basically, when you need to make a Vehicle Test, you roll your Reaction + appropriate vehicle skill +/- your vehicle's Handling attribute. There's more stuff to read after that but it's pretty simple.

Initiative then;

1, 1, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5: 2 hits.

Initiative (6): 5, 2, 2, 6, 5, 5: 4 hits, for a Initiative result of 10.
Here's mine :above: .

Do I need to do a roll for sitting in the passenger seat? Is that in the Driving section?

You could roll init but hold off doing anything to see if you need to throw a grenade or similar. You don't have to but it offers you more options other than just sitting in a speeding car watching.

After a marathon hour long skype conversation with Joose, on the intracacies of rigging, VR, AR, hotsims and control methods..

Setting Yelyena to follow Jon, working on her own steam.
This does however free me up to jump in and fuck some serious shit up with my drones.
I'm going to be putting Stalin in my drone rack and jumping into Lenin so I'm concentrating on using him.
Nikolai to Frank wrote:Doors opening, stand back!
Want me to keep one of them open for shooting from?
Stalin zooms in and neatly hooks up to the rack.

Matrix init - Init (8) + Init hits (0) + Hotsim (2)
1,1,3,3,2,2,3,4 = 10 Hits

Manoeuvring- Response (4) + Vehicle skill (5) + Control rig (2) + Hotsim (2)
5,3,3,2,3,2,2,2,5,3,3,4,5 = 3 Hits

Vehicle: 6, 5, 5, 2, 6, 5, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 1, 2, 3: 10 hits

Initiative: 5, 3, 2, 2, 1, 6, 6, 6, 4, 2, 6, 5: 6 hits.

Do I win? :thrust:

 There really ought to be something in the rules to cover this. Like an anti-glitch or something.

But there isn't, its just an awesome roll.

Edit: Just waiting on initiative rolls from Frank and N-Zo, and a vehicle test roll from Al, and then we can do turn 1!

I guess my flamethrower will go off on turn 1 then?

Right. Try again.

I did an init roll :above:, bt have another.

Reaction 6 Intuition 4 = 10, 5 hits.

So, as it counts as Close Wombat, i'm on half initiative this round.

4 Dice - 2,4,5,5= 2 hits

So Initiative 6...

I'll make my ve-hicle roll at lunch time. What do I roll? I do have a driving skill, I checked last night. Do I add a stat?

by Dog Pants
Well, my car skill is 3, the Nightsky has a handling rating of -2, and a pilot of 3. I've 5 mins of my lunch left and I still have stuf to do, so I've not got time to see which combination of those I roll. Sorry.

EDIT: Got it, new rules book is better. 4 dice; 6, 4, 5, 5: 3 hits.

Haha, more than I got when I accidentally put in 14 dice.

Righto, so:

Chase Combat turn 1

You all scored higher on your vehicle tests than the chasing cars, so you get to choose how far away from them you are. Either Short, medium, long or extreme. If you are trying to get away, you need to be at extreme range.

Initiative order goes thusly:

Jon
Frank
Nik
First Security Car
Leland
Second Security Car
Al
N-Zo
Jon
Nik
First Security Car
Second Security Car
Jon
Nik
Jon

Yes, I realise some people in in there more than once. That's because they have more than one initiative pass per combat turn.

Frank will delay until after Nik's first pass.

I'll just shoot off the flames on my turn. if you want me to reroll, I can do that.

Jon opts for medium range and begins laughing wildly
