wait, so I guess there is no time for me to build a barrier? In that case I will be prone then.
I think Dirk needs to hit them with a flash as soon as he can see them and then we should not hold back at all.

Yeah, K'Trr didn't give you time. You didn't see much up there you'd have thought was bulletproof anyway, although kudos for getting A-Team.

I still liked my meat shield idea...

Hehe, sorry, I was getting bored standing about.
That'll be your action on 1, and make a dex check for the timing.
Dex: 8,7,+13 = 28. That enough?

OK then, I guess we're knowingly heading into the ambush?
I suppose there isn't much but to go for it. As soon as I see someone I will bring to bear on them.

What vision mode is everyone using?

UV, but once I've got in there and flashed 'em I'll stick a floating glowy orb (provided I don't get minced with bullets).

I said I was crouching in the corner, so I guess Deej' and I have those.
Grimmie only has IR goggles and an IR scope. If I can use the scope to my advantage I'll use that - if it's going to hinder me I'll use the goggles.
I'll also switch to full-auto following reports of a massive ambush-style set up.
We could do with TSD and his grenades down here.. C'mon.. C'mon..

I've only got UV goggles, despite my lamps being triple filtered

Normal eyes, but my visor has an anti dazzle visor.
Rolling - when Kt'rr turns the light on.
5+7+4 = 16...

Can I hop in the elevator too? Or did I miss it and just have to listen to the carnage :p If I can go, I have no vision enhancements. Let me know if I need to roll anything please..

You can go. Cut off point is when we start bullet time, which will be after I get back from work in about half an hour...

Awesome...
Phoebe does a run for the elevator door before it closes and squeezes in whereever she can.. seems crowded and dunno if i can get around Kt'rr. Just announcing... will post again in a moment with my intentions.

My usage of either UV or IR depends on whether they were using UV lamps themselves. I'm guessing that they're definitely using either one or the other.
If they're using UV, then they must be also using UV torches to see, which I would be able to see as well. If they're using IR, then there would not be any UV lights on down there. If I don't see any UV lamps, I will turn mine on, otherwise if I can see their UV then I won't turn on my UV torch. I'd prefer to use UV as it's generally better, but If I can't see with my UV and they've got a bunch of UV lights so that I can't see I'll go with IR.

Okay so the dudes are all behind "large solid objects" I am guessing all aiming for the elevator and all shielded from an attack from the side of the room the elevator is on. I am going to run to the nearest large solid object to hide on the side closest to the elevator.. hopefully putting me out of their gun fire as much as possible. Then I plan to work my way around the back of the object to do some hand to hand combat with the mofos. I know it might take a few phases but I have a feelingt this will not be over so quickly...
So.. let me know what I need to roll and in how many phases I make it to shelter... hopefully soon or else I just futzed myself. Again, I have no special FLIR or UV vision etc... but I have heck of perfect vision.
Detect (4) 3+5= 12
Hide (5) 5+10 = 20
Sneak (5) 6+7 = 18

Thought: do we have any idea of numbers and locations from our motion scanners?
Posted: May 26th, 2009, 20:33
by Grimmie
If they're sitting still.. No.
Deject could use radar, but it would only bounce off their cover.

Roman: You do get movement. A few large traces scattered around, like huddles of people. Hard to tell in the few seconds you get an image.
Deject: Your UV lamps will work fine, and you didn't see any down there before. As you're behing K'Trr you remain undazzled.
Those on IR: As you descend you catch a glimpse of three figures in firing positions, still behind their objects. K'Trr's lamps don't affect you.
Those on UV: You descend into blackness until Deject turns on hid UV lamp. As you breach the room you glimpse four shadowy figures in cover behind the industrial machinery before K'Trr's lamps drown them in glare, the imaging compensating almost instantly.
Those with no visual enhancement: You descend into blackness, which suddenly erupts into light as K'Trr throws on his lamps. A short moment of blindness gives way to an eruption of gunfire.
As we go into bullet time, here's the situation:
There are three armed vets in cover behind rusty old machinery, each a few meters apart. One is wearing goggles. Off to one side is a thin, pale man crouching behind a smaller piece of machinery. Those on IR can't distinguish him from his surroundings. Behind all this are a number of panicking guys in white coats, desperately trying to avoid being in the line of fire.
On 1: K'Trr hits his lamps
Phoebe is dazzled but can still dash out of the lift
Eraser is slightly dazzled, but his visor prevents any penalty
The guy with goggles flinches, the others open fire
Everyone else, off you go.
