I think there's a nasty surprise behind it, why would you electronically lock the back door from the technicians on the inside? Outside makes sense, but surely the employees would have a key-card or similar.

Maybe they just didn't plan on actually using it. I cant think why they would lock something out that would be bad for us either: If its a huge badthing that they have control of and were planning on letting it out to get us, then it would also be a good idea for them to have the key. If its a huge badthing they *dont* have control of, then why would they be trying to let it out at all? Angry SLA Ops is bad enough, but being the filling in a SLA Ops/uncontrollable monster sandwich would be even worse.
I think we should pop it open just to be sure. Having said all that, I am going to remain outside whilst you do it. To....er...direct the shivers when they turn up.

I'm assuming everyone available is on hand in case something horrible is behind the door yeah?
I'll try to restart opening the door then.

Erm, don't know really. Time will tick on and you can try again, but I'll limit you to two attempts.

I'll get as far away as possible and bring to bear on the door :\

If that fails, is it too sturdy to use the Stormer-key?

If it's anything like the backdoor I checked out earlier, you'd need a demolitions team to break it open.
Attempt #2!

Well as it happens it is indeed the same back door. Dirk can see you peering out on his mini-cam. No monsters I'm afraid.

Oh, and I've been thinking about repeat tasks. How about you can try as often as you like, but each attempt gives you a cumulative -1 modifier, so you can keep trying but you'll get diminishing returns.

Ah, so they were trying to escape then. Oh well, they're dead now.

Sounds sensible. Its pretty similar to how SR handles it, iirc. Its a good compromise between not being able to retry for no reason (which is bad from a story point of view) and there being no chance of failing (bad from a game point of view).
Right, so we have cleared the place of doods, have we Mutilated all the gear? Dirk could probably help with that by tossing a few ebb blasts about. Also, it might be worth doing a proper search of the place to make sure theres no one hiding in a cupboard or something.
Once thats all done, I'll give Risikko a call.

Oh yeah, the cleanup crew arrives as you call it in, with a meat wagon.

Anyone have anything else to do before we tie this BPN up?

There's plenty of time to systematically hack everything up, and another tour seems to prove you've wrecked anything that might prove useful. Beds and tools and things I'll assume you're leaving, concentrating on the electronics and fancy surgical equipment.

Okay, I think we can tie this up then. By the time you get back to Uptown you've been credited 250c and 0.5 SCL.
That was a bit of a grind, which faltered a few times, but I place at least half of the blame for that on my design being too narrow of vision. You took a very different route to what I expected. There was some good work though, so have 5 experience each. The negotiation on that BPN was very good, and the only thing I would have suggested would have improved it would have been to get onto the facility at the end faster, there was a lot of fannying about when the rest of the TT guys could have been escaping. Any questions for the debrief?
