I like to substitute all instances of "Panic" in this thread with "Flustering" and "Bumbling".
The Carrien seem so much more innocent this way.

You hack one's neck and it stops wriggling. Meanwhile the charging horde heading towards Dirk and Grimmie break into disarray after the flash, some falling over and others stopping.
