Well we can forget about being sneaky. Anyone want to try these side doors? Might be worth seeing what we're up against, and if we can deal with it one at a time on our terms it might be beneficial.

Re: Pete's third shadowrun adventure:Welcome to Fortune
I think it would have happened anyway - we're all lumbering around like spacemen. I suggest we divest ourselves of these cumbersome clothes so we can move more freely should things get interesting.
I'm going to ready my dart pistol (with Narcoject) and keep the Slivergun up my sleeve. My plan if it all goes tits is to drug the things and hope to slow them down whilst others can do some killins.

You mentioned observation windows in the doors, can I see anything through them from my vantage point on the ceiling?

Yeah I'll discard the stuff that we picked up at the store.
Re: Pete's third shadowrun adventure:Welcome to Fortune
I'm keeping mine. I think I'll be needing it before we get back to civilisation, and it's still fucking freezing to a Louisianan.

but to a Mexican.Dog Pants wrote:it's still fucking freezing to a Louisianan.
I'll take mine off and stow it somewhere if possible, I'll reload as well if we're thinking of opening up some of these doors.

Ah, for some reason I'd just assumed we were indoors and it's warm. I'll keep wrapped up then.

As I'm not sure what you've put in the drones I'll assume that you've fitted a camera capable of various vision modes.Joose wrote:You mentioned observation windows in the doors, can I see anything through them from my vantage point on the ceiling?
The rooms are pitch black inside. The flickering strobe effect of the overhead lights gives split second flashes of gore and heaving musculature as the beast inside hurls itself at the door.
The one on the left hand side is slightly better positioned with the strange lighting to see splashes of liquid on the window. Thermographic is ablaze with false colour heat as the thing inside smashes itself against the door once more. Lines of heat dangle from the ceiling, some connected to the creature, some pumping cold fluid onto the floor.
Deject you took the fancy stuff and aren't slowed so if you take it off you actually lose some armour rating. In terms of places to leave the cold weather gear, right now you have the option of carrying it, but bundled will make you encumbered as if you're carrying it. Option 2 so far is piled neatly on the floor.

It's not actually cold inside. I think Pants was doing a bit of balmy weather character backstory.Roman Totale wrote:Ah, for some reason I'd just assumed we were indoors and it's warm. I'll keep wrapped up then.
Re: Pete's third shadowrun adventure:Welcome to Fortune
Indeed. Unless they've had the heating on it'll still feel cold to Jasper and he's a big wuss when it comes to cold.

Ah yeah, then no change on that front. I think we can go with the piled on the floor thing for now honestly. I think we should probably kill these things now so they don't come back to bite us in the ass (figuratively and possibly literally) later on.HereComesPete wrote:Deject you took the fancy stuff and aren't slowed so if you take it off you actually lose some armour rating. I wasnt sure myself, other than having left it with the defaults, so I looked it up. Turns out the dragonfly mainly uses ultrasound, weirdly.HereComesPete wrote:As I'm not sure what you've put in the drones I'll assume that you've fitted a camera capable of various vision modes.
I agree with deej, we should squish these things now, where we can at least attempt to do it in a controlled fashion. Can I pick up any wireless, or is everything hard wired? I'm thinking we should try and open the doors one at a time if we can.

The only wireless round there parts is you and the signal from Aysun. And since you ask, Aysun's bio-feed has changed quite a bit since Smith last took a look.
I'm not too surprised stuff like that is forgotten, I really should have kept some pace up in this. Now though, I intend to get this fucker moving. So poke me if I don't post the same day as an update.

Also, seeing as how I appear to have gifted your dragonflies some tech, we'll leave them as is. Free upgrades yay!

I'll look around for some sort of controls for the doors here in this corridor.
Perception (4) + Intuition (3) + Actively Looking (3): 6, 3, 4, 5, 6, 2, 3, 2, 3, 6: 4 hits.

Jon will pull out his gun in preparation. He will also grin in a slightly disturbing way

Well as you seem to be unable to roll dice, I rolled it for you. And you got 6 hits.Roman Totale wrote:Ooh, what change is there in the bio-feed?
Her vital signs are fluctuating, not in a oh shit she's dying kind of way, more of a some weird shit is currently transpiring. Some of the readouts are more like those of the beasts you looked at back in Fortune, but they are also different in subtle ways, Smith can see differences in just about everything being beamed through from her bio-implant. There is another problem, it has been reporting sporadically, the gaps are where the implant believes it is no longer in Aysun and has performed its own crude sanity check and decided to keep transmitting. The gaps are small and irregular but are showing a slow increase in frequency.
Keypads inset next to each door, they have a port for physically jacking in. They have a thin film of dust, as does the floor and walls. Nothing has been this way for a while.deject wrote:I'll look around for some sort of controls for the doors here in this corridor.

Aha!
I must remember to buy some of those little nanite thingies that can turn stuff wireless.Ingress5 wrote:Assistance requested: One of you fleshy humanoids plug a comlink into a keypad, I will use the physical connection to disable doorlocks on your signal.
