My van has gun ports if anyone thinks we're gonna be followed on our retreat.

We got told at the meeting where the dock we needed to go was. As such your fancy gps can be used to felcher fastest/safest/least police or whatever route and you can leadfoot it around in the general direction of the destination.

As for firing guns from your cars I hope you have earplugs or similar, or you're going to get a bit deaf from the noise.

My sargeant can attest to this when some muppet accidentally blatted off a blank round in the back of a land rover.

Code: Select all

Gun Port (Standard): Sometimes you want to be able to shoot out of a vehicle in order to help keep up the volume of fire. A gun port provides a stable firing position with a cone-shaped vertical and horizontal firing arc of 90 degrees for a hand-held weapon fired by a passenger while he is still fully protected by the vehicle’s armor. It provides 4 points of recoil compensation.

This modification can be taken more than once, each time for another passenger’s seat. Th e resulting firing arc depends on the seat’s position within the vehicle.
I got two of them :)

Stuff said here about the GPS route and the docks location is correct. You were given the location, and SR's car GPS equivalent (called routelink or something) is smart enough that borderline retards can operate it. So you should be (just about) fine.

As for shooting from cars: SR traditionally uses Movie Logic for stuff like this, so shooting regular guns out of a car window is ok, its not going to deafen you all.

The still internetless TSD has given me what he is doing in the interwebnets, so once I have gone to the beer shop I shall update you with them.

Don't worry, you'll get your chance :)

Right, N-zo does the hands-in-front-of-his-face dance that is the universal sign of someone buggering about in VR, and tells you that he has looped the video feeds in all the cameras so it looks like you are not there. He has also edited the feed from the forward facing cameras, so it looks like the limo drove straight past, rather than came in.
The front door is now unlocked, and he is ready to unlock the door to her apartment when you get there.
A quick conflab with Leland confirms that her apartment is one of the ones with only one astral signature in: its the one on the second floor, to the right. They don't have security cameras in the rooms, so he cant see what's happening in there right now, and the only other activity logged there was the doors opening for a visitor a little while ago. They didn't stay long.
The front gate is set to open automatically for you when you make your getaway.
Finally, all of your comlinks mysteriously go to hidden mode if they are not already set that way, without you telling them to.

Groovy. Right, lets roll. I'll head off towards this girl's place.
Al wrote:Right, plan is I'm going to try to convince her that we're moving her somewhere different. Hopefully she'll come along quietly. I reckon if we need to sweeten the deal we tell her there's a bit more life there, since she seems a bit of a party girl. I'm half expecting to find her off her face though.

Jon double checks his gun, starts up the engine and leaves it ticking over but leaves all the lights off, checking his mirrors for anything suspicious behind him

Well, you make it up to the door without incident. You barging in, or knocking?

N-Zo has the door open right? I'll knock then walk in after a second or so, with a casual greeting in Japanese.
