Great episodes of Castle and Chuck:
Castle - Steampunk awesomeness
Chuck - Sarah in a bikini montage. Need I say more?

Fail indeed. Unless her love interest was some androgynous Vampire they're not gonna get back that "core demographic" of fickle airheads.

At 20:00 on BBC 4 tonight there's a program called
"Explosions: How We Shook The World".
It's a program about explosions. I don't really need to say any more.

I'm sold on the explosions programme.
Horizon was quite interesting the other night:

Rubicon
I checked this out after deej mentioned it.
Basic plot is about some guy who works for the American Policy Institute cracking codes. One day he picks up a code in a crossword that appears across several newspapers. He mentions it to his boss (and father in law) who soon dies in mysterious circumstances. People then start following him.
That's as far as I got - after 3 episodes my balls dropped off from mind numbing tedium. Not only does nothing happen, but it's also bloody stupid. There is reference to some sort of "4th arm of government" who placed the codes in crosswords in the first place. It's this bit that really bugs me.
Do they bribe the papers to put that particular crossword clue in? If so that's not very secretive. If the crossword writers are part of this 4th arm, that's just excessive. And finally, if you're a super secretive arm of the government with access to sorts of technology, then why the fuck would you piss about putting secret messages in crosswords for the whole world to see? Send an encrypted email for piss sake.
The only good Rubicon is the guava flavoured fizzy drink.

I 100% guarantee you that it picks up a lot, and the last few episodes are totally worth it. Rubicon is definitely one of the slowest shows ever that the start. I maintain that it's totally worth it. Getting through the more boring episodes might not be something you want to do, and I understand if you don't keep watching but you should.

For those of you who haven't been watching Chuck:
Firstly, there was chuffing brilliant cameo from Timothy Dalton this week.
Secondly, why haven't you been watching Chuck?

Burn Notice - good episode, but I still feel the main story is glossed over and is more of a distraction.
The Mentalist - another good episode, really enjoyed this one. In this case the main story arc is relatively simple and sees good progress
Chuck - bit of a disappointing episode after a short break (which followed after a top notch ep with Timothy Dalton)
Castle - still good. Liked the Firefly reference.

Season finale on Bum notice was pretty good.
Dexter wasn't too bad, but nothing super awesome.

Yes, Bum Notice was good. Liked seeing the two most unpleasant baddies of the show return.
Dirk Gently - dunno, something seemed missing.
