What do you guys think, the 7000 + the 2000 we agreed on originally? Split that what 4 ways and that's 2250 nuyen each. I don't know about you guys but that's quite a lot of cash for Leland. We could try to haggle, but to be honest I'd rather not push it.

Now that the thingie is out of it, he's not paying the slightest attention to the head, so yeah, you can keep it.

He smiles, and looks up from the gadget for the first time. The orc lady, who he called Violeta, stalks off into the back with the gadget and her gloop covered metal hand.
Pastukhov wrote:Klassno! So, 7000, and 2000 for job. Also, I have 1000 for you as bonus. Trick with second bomb works very well, much less work for me!
He laughs heartily, and pulls out a certified credstick from his pocket. In case you don't know, certified credsticks are kinda like credit cards. They are loaded up with a set amount of money at a bank, and the money can be transferred to anyone's account who physically has the credstick. Its about as close to hard cash as you ever get in UCAS, other than with *extraordinarily* shady deals. Its a theoretically untraceable way of transferring money, so is often used by the big boys to pay runners for jobs.
Pastukhov wrote:Now my boys, I would go get checked out. Krieger strain HMHVV is not to mess with. You know mage who can help? I can hook you up if you need?

Chopper gazes lovingly at the severed Bandersnatch head.
Chopper wrote:Yeah, we got a contact - depends if your guy charges though, or whether he might fancy waiving his fee for this one.

What the fuck is that gizmo you've got there anyway? Seems that after all the hard work we went through to get it you could at least tell us what the fuck was going on in that place.

And maybe a drink too.

This is going to take place after the meet, but Leland wants to buy a Riot Shield (6R, 200nuyen) and an Endoscope (8, 250nuyen).

On the Availability test for the riot shield, I got 5 hits on the first day, and 3 hits on the second day. For the endoscope, I got 2 hits on day 3, 5 hits on day 4, and 4 more on day 5.

IF we don't have 5 days before the next adventure starts I'd still like to go at it in that order.

A riot shield? The fuck you want that for? Surely that'll just stop you from running away? Although we could use it to carry your unconscious form around any more 'runs we do. :P
Frank wrote:Sorry, I appear to have dozed off whilst looking at your bodyguard there Mr Pastukhov, she really is quite something.

Mr Pastukhov, the friend of a friend who sent me here, please let him know my debt to him is settled through helping you.

If you want footage of that in combat I've got it for you, I can download my eye and gun cam recordings if you want them.
Frank wrote:I paid 450 for the stuff to save the clinic, so not much profit for us from that. You guys take 150 of that each, it's not much but it's a thank you for your help.

Good job we brought that head with us, that's a tidy sum. You gonna put it on your wall chopper?

Obviously, though maybe it isn't to your thick ork skull, the riot shield is for melee defense. Since I don't have the best armor in the world, this is an easy way to boost my defense when necessary.

And fuck you Leland doesn't run away.

Pastukhov, to Frank wrote:HAHA, be careful your eyes don't get you into trouble, she is...how you say, eating men? I have let friend know am I very happy, you are now square with him. For the video, I will take copy of anything you have, da, but I'm afraid I can afford no more kapústa on this job.
Pastukhov, to the direction of the kitchens wrote:póylo! póylo!
A waitress comes out with a tray. Weirdly, without any orders being taken, she still seems to have managed to get you all what you would have asked for anyway, within reason.
Pastukhov, to Chopper and the others wrote:Understand that I am middle man, I do not know all details. But I can tell you some. The "gizmo" is specialised communicator. Probably wired directly to Bandersnatch, used to control. Doubt anyone controlling now, but maybe information recorded on memory, who knows? What was happening down there? Your guess. I think bio-research: maybe use HMHVV to power new biotech, maybe more than that. Not happening now though, da? HAHA

My doctor-mage, he is independent. He charge. He ass hole, but does good work. I send you contact, you can use him or not.
He sends you details for the mage, but as luck would have it, its the same guy you already have. You guess there's not much of a market for people in the middle of Seattle who specialise in the magical removal of rare diseases

Leland wrote:Ah wonderful, I was getting rather hungry. That facility was definitely looking into using HMHVV for something. If that implant was for control, it might be that they were looking into a way to control the ghouls as soldiers or assassins, something nefarious like that. I know they can be rather sneaky.
Leland takes a few bites of food.
Leland wrote:Actually, we did also find a few cans of this stuff. Not quite sure what they do, but I think they might be some kind of glue or foam.
He reaches into his coat and grabs one of the cans from the facility and hands it to Pastukhov.

He peers and the can for a moment. Then grins.
Pastukhov wrote:Ah, clever. Is not obvious? Imagine I am bandersnatch. Am invisible, you cannot see hand, for instance.
He sprays the can at his finger. It foams up a couple of inches, like brightly coloured shaving foam.
Pastukhov wrote:Now you see hand. Bandersnatch big advantage is stealth, hiding, jumping out. Hard to do when huge and bright. Foam expands past light bending field. Much easier to hit.
He chats with you for a short while, as you drink/eat. He mentions that he will undoubtedly have more work for you guys soon.

If there's anything else you guys want to ask him, say so now. Otherwise, you want to head to the medical mage?

Leland wrote:Ah, well that would have been handier before it attacked us. I must thank my friends for saving my ass though, the bandersnatch totally caught me off guard. There was too much noise for me to have picked him up, and when I tried to project it knocked me out.
Leland finishes eating.
Leland wrote:Well unless the others have anything else to ask, I shall say thanks for the grub and I look forward to doing business with you again.

Frank to Pastukhov wrote:Well, that would have been useful but as it is I killed it anyway, go me! I've had a blast on this one, if you know what I mean, HA!

Thanks for the job Mr Pastukhov, you could have easily used me and that favour to guard something or some similar boring job. This way, we got paid and I got to kill things!

I dunno what it was but thanks for the food. Gimme a shout if you need a hand with anything.
Frank to everyone else wrote:Right guys, shall we finish this up and head to the mage? I'll be outside when you're ready. After we're finished getting checked I'm gonna get stinking drunk. Maybe I'll fall over like Leland did, HAHA!
