You could on the next phase, if you knew what he was on about.

Eraser's chainaxe near cuts the carrien in two. The deceased's comrades pile on, grabbing arms and jumping on backs.

Deject, you get tackled by three, Eraser by five. You couldn't fit any more on you anyway. PHYS rolls to stay on your feet please, with any modifiers for balance you might have (gyro-stabilisers for example). Deject is at -8, Eraser is at -10.*

*The rules I'm using here for the modifier is the STR of the carrien +1 for every additional hanger-on.

PHYS (11) - 8: 5, 7 + 3 = 15

I'll use my blade to attack the main carrien trying to bring me down.

Blade 1-H (4) - Vision (1): 7, 5 + 3 = 15

Again, 4 PEN, 9 DAM, 2 AD.

You'll have to free your arm to swing it first, there's a carrien hanging off it. STR roll at 50% (one handed, you see), -6 (carrien's STR) to shake it off. If you do you can get a swing in next phase.

Sorry to pre-post for a phase, but I feel I must remind myself in advance not to run into the swarm of angry things.

Phys 14, so rolling +4

1,10,+4 Total:15

Str (17)/2 (roundup) = 9 - 6 = 3

3,10,+3 Total:16

So, next phase we get a smackdown.

PHASE 4

Deject and Eraser have vanished among the horde. Grimmie and Dirk see the head of one of the lead carriens explode.

Grimmie - 37m
Dirk - 44m

Eraser, Deject, Grimmie please.

Eraser can take a swing one-handed with his chainaxe. After a think about this normally I'd put some negatives on for using a two-handed weapon one-handed, but since Eraser is large (i.e. 2m+) and strong I won't. I think it's within his capacity to swing the thing one-handed with little effort. Or you could always just grind it into one of their faces.

Bear in mind the rules on suppressive fire. You shouldn't be at a bad modifier (apart from maybe range), and remember that you can trigger-lock and fire on all phases (although short bursts are more accurate - you don't get your skill on phases you don't act on).

PHASE 5

Another carrien expires on the roaring blade of Eraser's chainaxe, and Deject manages to shake his arm free. Grimmie and Roman still to go.

Grimmie - 33m
Dirk - 40m

EDIT: In fact I might as well do the carriens too. The horde presses in again, Deject and Eraser each getting an additional body on them. Eraser's one 'slot' free so keeps his free arm, unfortunately for Deject the carrien he just shook off grabs hold again. There's only a handful of lessers milling around the melee now, looking for opportunities do put the boot in. The rest (still a couple of dozen) are heading towards Grimmie and Dirk still.

Okay, I want to trigger-lock my 603, it has an auto setting, right? It's like a machine-pistol, IIRC?

Presumably. Anything with a rate of fire of 3 or above is assumed to be able to auto-fire, as it's still at least 5 rounds/second.
