Okay, Alvrin starts to move off down the tunnel that drops and curves away slightly to the other one. Anyone going with?

As you advance the tunnel is getting wider, the roof getting higher and the temperature getting warmer and soon you find yourself emerging from the tunnel into a large cavern.

Large stalagmites form a rocky forest in front of you, the roof is quite a way up but you can see some corresponding stalactites as well. The ground slopes toward a pool which bubbles and emits noxious smells, the temperature in the room is noticeably different from that you've experienced since setting out from town. The sounds of running water, drips and odd echoes can be heard, but are swallowed by the size of the open space.

As you stand at the threshold between tunnel and cavern, Ingress5's drones appear at the main group. Some of them showing surface damage from the storm outside. One of them is not holding station with the others but is instead constantly trying to correct its attitude with its thrusters.

Joose, how many and of what flavour drone do you want?

Righto, one of them is a bit busted so roll 2d6 and post results please.

Deject, are you waiting at the edge of the cavern, moving forward, heading back???

Everyone else still holding on ingress5 reporting back?

I've got 5, so I'll just send three of the fully working ones. I'll land the wonky one in the bag with my Bearvatar.

Joose - I think I'm missing something on your numbers there. You want this as you've called all of them and 2 working 1 busted have settled in next to their furry parent, 2 have set to work, 1 down each tunnel?

Pnut - You're at a junction where the tunnel you're in carries straight on but also has another tunnel branch from it and gradually curve down and away from the tunnel you're in. Ramirez can stand and point a gun at each tunnel if you want but Alvrin has already gone down one and found nothing?

Well I did ask Pnut a question, sort of.

Joose, Ingress5's drones, how do you want them to be doing thing? Just sending them to fly up the tunnels or searching for stuff or performing loops or are you going to flit between their tiny robot sensors to see for yourself?

I'll send them to fly in (cautiously) and keep an eye on their video feeds. If they spot anything (or if I spot anything on the feeds) I may jump in properly for a closer look.

Gah, stop rushing me!

Okay, drone heading straight forward - it travels along for a good few minutes seeing bugger all until it arrives at a bit of a cave in/hole torn into the tunnel side. Its quite obvious as the smooth walls from the passage of water are marred by the ugly jagged rent.

Drone by the cavern, I shall presume that it's heading in to the cavern - As it moves in to the cavern and ascends to scan more area it relays feeds of large stalagmites/stalactites clustered along the floor/roof. it shows you the lake of exceedingly clear water in the basin off to one side and it shows you another tunnel at the far side.

Can send the first one to have a peek in the hole, and the second one to have a look at the tunnel on the far side?

Looking through the hole the drone relays the view of a corridor, dimly lit by emergency lighting and with hazard lights rotating, there's very little in the way of sound. The metal wall of the end of the corridor that is breached is in jagged tears, some facing in, some facing out of the breach, most are covered in dried blood.

The drone that heads across the cavern starts to head up the tunnel but stops facing a large metal door, one that looks to split in the middle and slide away into recesses built into the tunnel walls. It's unadorned and looks like it hasn't opened in a while.
