For Maximum hilarity, take your low level TD (Marder 2 ot AT1) spend the gold on a fully upgraded crew, and exterminate hordes of american Light tanks. it won't last, but by god it feels glorious right now!

I shall be playing. Into the mediums on the yank tree and nearly at my king tiger too.

I think it's the fact that the yank td's were turreted maybe?

Strange they've concentrated on the t-types for the heavies, I would have thought the pershing/super pershing would make the update.

Lots of T1 Cunningham's on my first outing. My word the early US tanks were ugly. Once they release Chaffees and Locusts I'll have a crack at it - they were pretty. For now I'm happy munching on T1s and Lees, although I lost my Leopard again to a crash. Grr.

Twank!

I've re-made the 5punkchat channel. To find it you just click channels then type in 5punkchat in the box and click search. Usual password as I noticed some randoms in 5punkchat talking polish before the update.

What's the deal with transferring crew? I know there's some sort of penalty for it but I can't remember what. Is it worth it?

Basically when you get your crew to 100% you can specialise them into firefighting, camoflage or repair, which greatly increases your tanks skills. When you swap them over to another tank they retain their secondary skills and start off at 100% primary skills with gold, 90% with silver and 75% for free (if in the same type of tank, think there is a further skill reduction if you swap them into different vehicles)

Ah right. Only affects one of my crews then, and they're staying in their tricked out BT-2.

Swapped my crew from the KV all the way up to the IS, and was planning on keeping them til the IS-7 (If I got there) Even if they only reach 90% they still start with 5% more skill than the 75% crew for the same price.

World of Thanks wrote:Christmas and New Year holidays are nearing. World of Tanks Developers Team decided to make a gift to the players. And we are glad to announce the launch of the Special Holiday Campaign - from December 20, 2010 till January 2, 2011 all the players will be given 500 gold daily (and it doesn’t matter if you played a battle or not). In addition to the increased daily gold giveaway, some other pleasant surprises are also possible.
Sweet.

Switching to EU has halved my pingular, which is good. Also perhaps a bug but in my first match I got 10k experience and 128,000 credits.

Edit: Not a bug but a gift, 3 days of 5x experience and credits... nice.
