Hmmm, I remember Clagg's thing about granting immunity or something for Illegal Immigrants who have been here for however long, and I think that is one of the most incredibly stupid things I have ever heard!!

Also, why can't we tighten up on people coming from Europe to work? Is that stupid EU law?

I think there's an irony here in that Clegg is coming across well in these debates despite not necessarily having great policies, and that he's running contrary to public opinion about immigration.

/snips out the start of a discussion about immigration.

As a self-proclaimed fanboy of the BBC, it really pisses me off that parties like UKIP and the SNP are trying to take legal proceedings against them to horse their inclusion in the debate tomorrow. If the SNP really wanted to take part, why did they not press for inclusion in the debate on domestic issues? For UKIP, why not the one on foreign affairs? They clearly see the BBC as a soft target, rather than trying to take on Sky in particular.

Quite aside from that, several commentators I've seen have said that a debate of 3 people is one that will allow proper discussions, whereas if it balloons to include lots more parties, they lose their impact. They wouldn't cover nearly as much ground, an I imagine that it would be hard to remember what so many different people said.

It's just been bugging me for the last couple of days and I wanted to rant about it briefly.

I hadn't heard about the UKIP attempt, but the SNP complaining about the unfairness of it all pissed me off. As it is the debate is of potential interest to everyone, but the SNP is only of interest to Scotland. Also, where do you draw the line? A debate between every party and independent candidate? Might as well just hold the thing in parliament.

Hahaha, he's probably right. Ironic that politicians are criticised for telling the truth.

I'd love it if they used those words too.

In other news, I found out this week that my local Tory MP is none other than William Hague. Interesting, although I don't know how it'll affect my vote. Not that it matters much, pretty much as soon as I vote I'll be moving out of the area.

He's a fucking chump as based on what she said, he was correct in calling her a bigot.

Yet he's gone and made a grovelling apology. Again. This is the man who is meant to be running the country. All I see is a bloke in a suit who lacks the conviction to stand by his own viewpoint. Hardly leadership material.

The whole clip is there. Yeah, I think that's justified, she blatently has an issue with immigration.

Good grief. If I had a shred of respect for news organisations I'd have just lost it.

Another great candidate site with sound - http://62.149.36.33/~gregknig/ge.php
I'm not sure it's for this election or the 1997 one, looking at the design and tech.

I won't vote for anyone who sits idly by and lets east-European upward-loading image files cross our borders willynilly and take the jobs of hard working local PNGs.

Did you know that Greg led calls in Parliament for an end to Japanese whale and dolphin slaughter?
