Cheers Joose. I can't think of any other contacts who might be able to help with this one. However, I'll also have a look at what I can do about finding a little out about our employers. There's something fishy about this run.

I'll hit up the boss and see if he's heard any word of them looking at weaponry.
Possibly Frank and Chopper should go back to the titty bar, just to check up on the contact...

You find fuck all about Dae. She is clearly working as an intermediary for someone else, but shes not linked to anything overtly dodgy. Not directly, anyway, she is known to "service" mafia doods. Apparently the Maf are semi-regulars at Ticklers. Your sources tell you that they are leaning on the owner of the place to let them take over, but he is a "stand up guy" who isnt taking any shit off them. He's well enough liked that they are not pressing the issue too much.

Gangers are always regulars at the gun shops, but he doesnt know much about these guys in particular. He does note that the First Nations seem to be throwing down a little more cash than usual though. Not epic amounts, but they are clearly into something new and lucrative.

Looks like I might have to do a little wetwork. I'll get together an outfit that'll let me blend in in the area these guys hang out. Not like in their house, but a street bum is probably a good start. Street bums loiter around where they hang out right?

Looks like Burnley.
Al wrote:Frank. Don't suppose you have a beaten up old armoured coat or jacket do you? One that wouldn't look out of place on a bum?
I want to do a spot of undercover, so I'm going to go downclass and try to chat up the hoboes over there. I'll be getting a cab over nearby - nothing so conspicuous as a limo in the slums - but I wouldn't mind a getaway and some cover if any of you guys want to volunteer.

Am I doing this solo then?

That does give me a thought though - I can fit into the bars round there with no problem. I do a little *cough* outside normal works hours stuff in those types of places anyway. Maybe they could use someone like me.

Frank wrote:Yeah I got an old leather trench. It's beat up and greasy so it should fit nicely on a can chaser. You can always drag it through the muck out in the warehouse too. I can fit a few slimline trauma pads too if you want, stop a knife in the kidneys or a nine mil to the lung.
There's probably some form fitting body glove stuff in stock if you want to take a look at that too. It's lightweight aramids and tensile metals, weighs a lot less and is worn underneath everything. That's pretty good stuff for stopping power, I wear a suit under all the bulky armour too, in case of needing to ditch the jacket and move in a hurry.
The leather jacket is 2/2 Ballistic/Impact. Form fitting armour is dependent on how covered you want to be. Check out p48 in arsenal for prices and ratings. 20% discount from the store.
Frank wrote:In fact, I've had an idea too. Yeah, I know it's unexpected!
Think about this, after you've picked a general area of work Al, I get a dirty little hovel booked with my fake sin name. I then work doors, hang round in bars or whatever and we get you a panic button so me or Chopper can roll up and smash face if things go to far to shit. It gives you a bolt hole and place to drop off info too.
I've done a bit of extended cover work, it's boredom interspersed with boredom and injected very occasionally with pant shitting fear and adrenaline.

Al wrote:Yeah, good call. If we're going to be staking these guys out for a bit it might be worth having a base camp nearby. This gear's perfect Frank. The bodysuit might well be a good investment for future undercover stuff. I'm a bit new to it.
I'll have a look in the arsenal book once I've unwrapped my head from Rifts.

Frank pulls up the catalogue of the shop on his workbench.
Frank wrote:There's the pictures of it all, anyone else needing stuff just have a look. It shows stock levels and such, if it's out we could probably get N-zo to order it express delivery on the shops account.
Al, if you want me to bulk out the jacket let me know and I'll get to work fitting those pads. I can add haz protection and such as well if you want, but I've only got so much to work with and it costs.
Frank, to N-zo wrote:Before I forget, thanks for the upgrades on the electronics dude.
How about you pull me up a few pits and we'll see what's good for reinforcing and kitting out.
I dunno how much you know about bolt holes so lets have nothing ground floor, nothing above fifth story. No wait, third. Al won't fall five stories too well. Nothing that's single room and bathroom, we'll need more rooms. Semi or unfurnished so we can deliver kit in the guise of deliveries. Keep it as busy at ground level as possible, main streets and just off, easier to move about with. Of course you'll want it near an easy to crack node, I dunno what signal is like down there.

Al wrote:Basic stuff should be okay, I don't want to over armour and I'm hoping not to spend too long wearing this stuff. If I can sort out a bodysuit to go under it that should be enough.

I'll try and get a job freelancing in a bar somewhere - holler when you get there.

I'll go visit Frank and see if I can get fitted up for an armoured half body suit. With his 20% discount it should be 720Y. Bargain.

I'm still having PC problems, so I'll update with N-zo once I've caught up on the threads...
Might be looking like a new Hard drive or two...

Sorry, been a bit out of it recently.
While Chopper goes off to the Verge I'll briefly check in with my tramp buddy (Connection 1, Loyalty 3) and see if I can't get him sniffing around on the trail too. I'll offer him a couple day's basic food rations, or a small paycheque in return for his services.
