I have all the upgrades and I never use any of them anyway. I had the sandvich in my loadout for a while because it's a sandwich, but switched back to shotgun after the novelty wore off. I also have the boxing gloves, but I never even switch to them. I prefer the more damage sacha and airblasting regular flamethrower to their alternatives

Yeah I have the Medic and Pyro unlocks and I only usee the Ubersaw and Bluts-whatever that gives you health for the medic and the axetinguisher for the pyro.

They're not better, just different.

I haven't played teef for ages, but as a brief comment about achievements, I quite like them. Take Beef for example - the levelling system was rubbish past about 20,000 points, but the game remained fun. If I was ever getting a bit bored with just playing through the maps, I'd pick a badge or three and spend an evening trying to earn them. Having specific targets other than KILL KILL WIN WIN can do quite a bit to prolong a game's interest, for me at least. My xfire stats seem to agree with me.

All of this. I picked the game back up and played alone for about 2 months alone, so something worked.

Also, with every advantage given to an unlocked weapon, there is a disadvantage.

That is an issue. How about binding a key in TeamSpeak that mutes, and binding that same key in your game to transmit.
That way, when you press that key ingame, it'll broadcast to everyone without echo (or transmit to you team without 5punkers on the other team knowing)

Unfortunately, I pretty much only play TEEF as it's one of the few games I actually own, and I don't really have much free time to play that these days :(
I think I need to stay in more.
