As for the situation of a wider scale, I think closing the COD4 servers would be in the best interest of 5punk. Rifts appearing or some of you lot falling out seem like an inevitability, but when it does happen should be prevented with our best effort. INTERNET DRAMA will just make this place less fun, and certainly less 5punky.

And yes, I will KITTY/FACEPALM-SPAM the bleeding fuck out of any kind of flame war/ bitchy thread.

I promote UOCODZ. I had a fucking ace time on that game, and it's caused more 5punky lolz in total than just about any other game.

If someone had said "The amount you're using the grenade launcher is getting ridiculous, tone it down a bit" I would have, but besides one passing comment early on in the game mentioning that I was using it, I don't recall hearing any flat out complaints about it. I mean I don't like the idea of weapons being restricted, but I don't mind using something a little less if people are clearly stating I'm doing it too much. I suppose people may not want to cause a fuss by telling people not to do this or that, but if its really ruining your experience say so over TS, its better than suffering in silence until it builds up enough and ends up requiring a thread about it

Today, I think the noob tube usage seemed a bit off, as the 2 main people doing it were often on the same team, always way ahead of everyone else and didn't seem to have taken people's complaints/feelings into account.

Whether this was intentional or not I don't know.

Also, I think no-one really mentioned it during the game due to people complaining about people complaining about people.

But to avoid any more conflicts on this, I'm not running cod4 servers, I don't want to have to babysit people, impose rules, or any shit like that, and the best way to do that is to lose the servers.

The other CoD games are available on steam very cheaply.

I think (for now at least) this is a good idea.

We didn't really mention it because it wasn't worth mentioning...

I personally don't think their is a rift between 5punkers, I think it's just a bit of drama that evolved from an old forgotten argument about the way people played that's been brought back and carried on a bit too far.

I still have a hell of a time here playing games and shiz for over 3 years and I definitely don't want that to change. Perhaps a few people weren't acting the 5punky way - I wasn't there at the time that most things kicked off tonight - but I don't think 5punk is permanently getting non-friendly nor do I think this is a huge problem which needs fixing.

Perhaps (for now) getting rid of the COD servers may be in our best interests, if only to make the game more interesting again in a few months between 5punkers. People who still enjoy playing it will continue to on other servers.

On a side-tangent: had a heck of a game with Elvis Duck, Berk, Pants Pete and co tonight (I cant remember who else was playing.. Slinger? there was about 8 in total), which was fun and full of lulz.

And if I ever meet Elvis Duck, I will punch him square in the face.
Whoever he may be.

I kind of agree with both MJ and Tezz. When a group like us plays games together as we do with little external influence it's easy to pick up on things that annoy us that we wouldn't normally notice. It's like living with a person. We do, for the most part, have a very friendly and unified group here though and I think that's a pretty rare thing.

This whole COD thing has blown up, and has come to a less pleasant conclusion than I'd have liked. Regardless of that though I haven't seen it carried outside this game/thread and I'd like to think it'll stay that way. I certainly don't feel any differently towards anyone I've not agreed with over this, I just see it more like the petty little arguments I have with Mrs Pants which blow over and are forgotten about.

I've still got plenty to say on the COD matter, but the server's gone so I'm going to lay it aside in the interest of harmony. I might be a right bastard (not to 5punkers) in AIDS of Colon though.

Fuck me :faint:

We never had any problems with COD:UO, in fact it was the exact opposite; the Paragon of 5punkiness. The fact that a COD game has caused this much hassle and has now been shut down saddens me greatly :(

Which is why I've been on steam and bought the CoD pack.
