I like your eisenhorn book (I have it myself)
Collies are lubberly and utterly hatstand too.

This be George, the most neurotic and hungriest cat ever.
It is a mere miracle we have managed to deny him food most of the time.
Otherwise he would be a very fat old man.
Also, he is the size of a small dog anyway, and other cats always seem very small to me.
Have another similar cat, perhaps photo to follow should he pull an amusing pose.

Ah George, possessor of loud meows and the skill of leaving muddy paw prints on the inside of window sills of other peoples houses at night.

I can't see George, broken link?
I noticed Animal Planet have a whole series of videos on the various breeds of dogs and it sounds like that if you don't train and exercise a collie enough it can end up a real handful. Awesome dog though, if you've got the will, time and space.
I want a dog, have done for a few years but not bothered to do anything about it. Ideally a rescue dog as I don't want a puppy and I do want to be a hero. Time to search out the local rescue kennels.

This afternoon, my parents had to put our golden retriever to sleep.
He was about 13 years old, and very poorly in a number of ways, but we think that a brain tumour was what finally did for him. Even though I effectively moved out when I went to Uni 8 years ago, I still loved him very much, and will miss him sorely whenever I'm down visiting my parents.
