Moving slowly up the pipe there are several small alliances out here, each holding 2 or 3 systems each. They actually seem to be doing the sort of thing that we did at our height but perhaps they're more organised about it. They all have shit names though with stuff like spider and taboo in their names. The spider dudes I talked to, they seem like a decent bunch, the taboo boys I ignored.

Lots of United Legion Ruskies hunting around last night, glad I took your advice in a :ninja: Friz, I suspect it's saved me more than once already. Moved on up into IAC space last night. Apparantly they are nbsi, which is nice. Shame really as I have tons of stuff still in our their stations, including a fully T2 fitted Brute. Ah well, the ability to dock for structural repairs would be nice  May try amnesia over the weekend.

well, after a week's glorious ratting in my Ishtar...

2008.02.13 14:42:00

Victim: teh bomber
Alliance: NONE
Corp: 5punkorp
Destroyed: Ishtar
System: SSRL-A2
Security: 0.0
Damage Taken: 10397

A mixture of bad judgment and bad luck got me caught in a belt by a vaga with 2x1M BS rats on my back. Almost got away, was at 22km range when I cracked.

Fortunately I had managed a fair bit of ratting and had hit one factional spawn before this happened so, while it didn't quite pay for itself (depending on what I get for the sanshas web I picked up, it didn't bankrupt me either.

Meanwhile I have been playing with a Kronos on SiSi. Me Likey..

Jesus we all fail at updating this thread

Ok, I've comfortably settled into being CEO, after a few sage words from Friz and Kat about how to run the damn place. Corp doesn't fall apart with my absence which was one thing I was concerned about and ew're finally settling into life in insurgency. That took longer than I was hoping for, but finally 90% of the corp has enough assets up north now that we can function properly in roaming gangs, fleet engagements and capital fights. Supply lines are being a bit of an issue, but one of my directors is steping up now to take charge of that, so come next weekend all of my dread pilots should be comfortable for ammo, fuel, stront and dancers.

Skilling towards the naglfar continues, with my last really nasty skill (jump drive ops 5) finishing in just over 20 days. So sometime in the next month I'm going to sit down with Silver and just mine minmatar ice like crazy so I've got a nice large reserve of fuel.

Also, my bad luck streek might finally be over. Managed (at least) to get into a gang last night, fly about, get onto some killmails and not die. Didn't even have my lucky exotic dancer with me, which has survived far long than alot of my ships.

For those of you don't know, Insurgency set up siege in QCWA (that's right at the northern end of branch, it's about as far north as you can go) last tuesday, and by friday the outpost was ours. We've not got soverginity yet though, so people can come in and simply try to take the outpost until post DT tommorow which means we've all had to remain on alert for large fleets around the place.

So, how's everyone else?

Today Mining Director V will be finishing so I will then only need a couple (or 6) hours to finish off Cybernetics V so I will then be all set to <s>selotape</s> sticky back plastic a Mining implant into my head at which point I will be at a slight loose end with regards to what to train for do vague suggestions will be welcome (I'm pondering building up leadership) but otherwise, for the moment at least, FabulousDancingYak sleeps on

Having finally managed to horde and scavange parts off my Stiletto I've nanofagged my Arazu and got it out of the npc station that was camped by Ev0ke and Outbreak and am now ready to fly around pretty quick like a tit until the time comes to jump back in my support-kill-mail-whorer Deimos and get into big fleets again. Woo!

P.S. Insurgency is good, Friz should leave MC (they're amateurs) and join usssss.....

Very tempting, but I'm determined to give MC a proper go before I quit. It's an incredibly well organised outfit, but like all large, strictly run organisations it's a little bit impersonal and can get mighty boring unless you're at the top, and there's alot of very very capable people in the Alliance between me and the top (and I cba)...(and BD is in Insrg).

narf I've not been playing much on Friz, largely due to RL stuff (new job, moving house etc) but also cos the thought of lagging out in Delve with Jita level numbers in system really doesn't appeal.

I've been keeping up with the carebearing though: mining, building ships and selling them off in J8. Then spending all the isk on fun things like drug skillbooks, capital skills for Mano and toys like the Onyx which I can now fly.

Continuing my trend of buying ETC's and baby sitting high SP toons who never play (*cough*, Feafalas), Dres recently PM'd to say he won't be coming back for the foreseable and he was letting his account die...so I've taken it on and he's joined us in ISSO. This business incidentally is doing pretty well. We worked out our Net Asset Value the other day.... you don't wanna know narf 8)

I'll be honest, BD's fine now, he's much calmer and a nice chap to chat to, if you do join INSRG, at least consider Hobos for a second, I wants to be in the same corp as you again :(

As Friz has mentioned, finances are not improving much at all in the forseeable future. :( I failz.

In other news, work continues to go well, MIL has MS, wife just got full-time at work, and doing homework with my daughter is like a quick swim through the fires of hell. So all in all, life is good, just not good enough to have the iskies to buy a laptop and play Eve.

Friz, when I can afford it, I'll re-up Dres for a year for you. I'm hoping that by the summer things will be better, and I'd like not to be a burden. Of course, summer brings another challenge, how to let my wife work full-time with two kids at home. Daycare is just too expensive! But other challenges need to be dealt with before that one, I just hope that doesn't kill the hopes of a new laptop. :(
