Well as Joose can't do anything...
Pants as you never specifically stated you didn't have that power we'll just assume it was always there. So bash some stuff.
Alvrin can wait in the back all slow and mopy. Like an emo snail.

In which case I (Loa) shall direct an elemental attack against the nearest gribbly:
Exotic Ranged 6 + Agility 8 = 14
2, 5, 4, 5, 4, 1, 3, 4, 3, 3, 4, 2, 2, 3: 2 hits.
Eesh. DV is 6 if it hits.

Interesting rules fact: you can spend a point of edge at any time to reroll a test. I'm just saying, like.

I'm not wasting edge when I have meat shields.

Speaking of meat shields, I assume I'm still running at them?

The creature's can't dodge as it's your free turn and they're unaware of the group further back.
It resists very poorly to the spell and the ageing effect of your swamp magic mixed with its accelerated metabolism turn it into a dessicated corpse that explodes into dust in front of John.
Hernandez' turn.

After seeing Jasper take down one fairly easily, Hernandez will take aim(negating distance modifiers) on the next closet two and take a shot at each.
1st shot, 1st target. 7 dice. 6,3,4,4,4,5,5 = 3 hits.
2nd shot, 2nd target. 7-2=5 5,6,1,2,1 = 2 hits.

Again, failure to resist the damage leaves the first target toppling backward with a dinner plate sized hole where its chest was. The second failed even harder, it turns into a shower of chunky salsa as the ex-ex ammo causes catastrophic damage, it's nothing but goo with arms and legs falling to the floor.
Two normal beasts and a different looking one left.
Smith's turn.

I'll take aim at the funny looking one with my Slivergun.

Luckily you bought some glasses earlier that happen to have vision magnification, I'll take the aim as negating distance so you're just at -3 for the light levels. I think that leaves you rolling 9 dice to shoot the funny looking one.

Am I rolling now or is that in the next turn?

Pointing a gun in someone's general direction is a free action, so you could do that and fire twice (assuming its at least semi auto), or you could aim and fire to reduce the negative modifier a bit. I'm not sure exactly on the odds, but I *think* you would be better firing twice if you can.
