Looks all clear. It also looks like there's a big hole underneath the rug.

OK, I'll roll up the rug and take a look down the hole.

It drops through a few ruined levels of basement before opening up into the churning waters of the 'river'. With its smooth concrete sides you doubt you'd be able to get out of there before it spat you out where all waterways in Mort lead - one of the Cannibal Sectors. That's assuming you didn't drown before you got there.

:whew:

I'll let the others know to watch out for the giant hole of death, then continue on following the girl.

Oops, missed the last post.

Onwards then. The tracks aren't that difficult to follow over the soggy rugs, and they lead in a wiggly path towards the elevator doors. The doors on either side of the hallway are in various states of repair from intact but decaying to hanging off their rusting hinges. From what you can see the rooms beyond are in a similar state.

Unless any of my gear indicates anyone in the rooms I'll head past them.

With that roll you miss any evidence of further holes, which the kiddy footprints navigate around.

Nah, that's good enough. It's fairly obvious due to the tracks Deject is following avoiding the slightly dodgy looking areas of ground. I just didn't know if had occurred to Deej that the tracks took a meandering route because they were avoiding more pitfalls, and if he was just going to saunter into the room.

I should have made it clear, yeah. I want to follow the obviously used path, now that I've uncovered a giant hole-'o-death. I had assumed there was some other kind of trap I was walking into, lol.

But yes I am avoiding the holes in the floor.

Whilst they are searching the floor as they go, I'm going to be stopping every few feet to check the CEILING!

Well nothing tries to kill any of you between the front door and the elevator doors, either floor or ceiling. The elevator doors are as rusty and broken as everything else, and have about a six inch gap between them.

Are there any stair cases or such around that the girl could have used?

I'll again use the A/V stalk to peer into the elevator shaft..

Can't see any, and the tracks lead through the doors. Your AV stalk reveals the shattered remains of the lift shaft, walls cracked and rotten with water running down them. About 50m above you can see the tangled remains of the cables hanging from the large and ancient looking winch mechanism, a couple of which are still attached to the crumpled car lying on the floor below a few meters down.
