Okay, well if nobody has any plans in the meantime...

The Snappers clear out of the warehouse, taking spent casings with them. The leader approaches Dirk and Eraser before they leave.
Cmdr Keane wrote:We're done here, your targets are eliminated. As discussed, our fee for this is simply that you let us leave and continue our business elsewhere. Don't worry if you have any conflict of loyalties, we have no interest in tangling with SLA as you've seen. Take whatever's here with our compliments.
Shortly after, Risikko's goons arrive in a dark blue and red APC. They wordlessly start searching the area, four of them hauling off the robotic drone. As they go about their work Risikko emerges from the APC.
Risikko wrote:Excellent work gentlemen. A pity you couldn't capture the drone intact, but never mind. Did you have a lead on the control equipment?

Are Dirk and Eraser coming? Or should I go in and get shot while grimmie watches from the rooftops?

Dirk to Risikko wrote:The others chased a van down that sounds like it might have been a mobile control centre, but we think there's a bigger maintenance facility nearby - we reckon there will be more of them there.

Talking of which, any chance you can get us some transport down there rather than us trying to get a taxi?

Risikko wrote:I don't have anything which can take you. We need the APC here while we clean up. Find the control equipment though and I'll be getting a Kilcopter to recover it. You can hitch back to Uptown in that if you've completed the BPN.

Okay, zooming onward then. You arrive at the maintenance facility with the others. The squad is together.

You guys think we should go in the front or should we try the other potential path the computers say should be there?

Other path I reckon - front door might be a bit busy.

Go in the back, I can watch the front from ground level and warn you if things kick off from this side. On that note, although there is wireless here it's rather patchy, so you can autopilot me for the moment. I'm just going to be keeping an eye on matey and acting as a spotter anyway.

That takes a trek through the tunnels, cuts and walkways of the first few levels of lower Downtown, but near the surface it's uneventful. The shaft is easily identifiable all the way down, and a quick scout round it's circumference locates a seldom used but very sturdy looking metal door with a code lock.

Oh god. did anyone learn how to subvert these things yet? goddamnit. I guess I probably need to try kicking it in. I'll see if there are any obvious booby traps to kill me.

You don't see anything that looks booby trapped, but this thing looks like it could take a tank shell and a quick tap leads you to believe it's measuring its thickness in inches rather than millimeters.

I shall apply a verbal nadsquish. You'll have to roll for me though, I'm without my character sheet.

Doesn't make any difference, he doesn't know it. In fact he doesn't even know about the door.
