Haha, nice idea. On the spot house rule then: I'll subtract the Carriens' cool from the roll and anything over 10 is one that wavers. If they're all unsure (from accumulated intimidates), then they start to run away. I really need to think up some modifiers too (like from killing loads of them), but that'll do for now until at least after the combat. A few do stop running.

Three, naturally
PHASE 3
Deject, Eraser and Dirk to act
Eraser - 56m (lesser), 55m (mutants), 60m (bears)
Deject - 68m (lesser), 67m (mutants), 72m (bears)
Others - 88m (lesser), 87mm (mutants), 92m (bears)
The horde has thinned out a little.

Time to fire again!
To hit: Rifle (8) + RoF (3) - Vision (1): +10
1, 9 + 10 = 20
# rounds hit: Auto/Support (5) + RoF (3) - Vision (1): +7
1, 9 + 7 = 17
I believe that's 4 rounds hit then?

I'll keep Bombing the lesser ones whilst the people with decent aims/range etc take out the big dudes.
8 - 4 (darkness) - 2 (medium range) = 2
7,5,+2 = 14, again
Not sure what other modifiers to take out (running, aiming).

Also -2 for targets sprinting, and +2 for large target, so yeah. The lump pitches forward sporting a line of gaping holes.

Anyone else on Phase 3? Grim goes on 1,2,4,5 right?

Oops, I missed this. It was posted while I was posting my post.

Same as any other shot if you're using your flintlock, although being AoE you could argue you don't really
need to hit. At any rate you'd be on -2 for target running and -3 for a wild shot. I'd waiver the wild shot if you're just blasting away at the mass and catching stuff in the explosion. A couple more are knocked down.
PHASE 4
Deject, Eraser, Grimmie
The front couple of ranks (not that they're arranged as such) are looking thin now.
Eraser - 48m/45m/52m
Deject - 64m/61m/68m
Others - 84m/81m/88m

I'll bring to bear on the left-most bear-like left.

That was an easy one.
PHASE 5
All act.
The horde storms on. The mutants (not big bear ones) have loped into the lead now, gibbering maniacally.
Eraser - 40m/34m/44m
Deject - 60m/54m/84m
Others - 80m/74m/84m

It's not SLA unless we've had Nic Cage punching a woman in a bear suit.
Er, it's Nic Cage in the bear suit, not the woman he's punching. Just thought I'd clear that up.
