I suppose I could put a bullet through chopper.

editz - you can spend an edge point on guaranteed first place in combat, and a point on buying an extra initiative pass in the same combat turn. I guess you should before you get a new shitter ripped.

See p67 of the core rules for more info.

Actually I think right now my priority should be to take out the watcher spirit because it it's able to alert the summoning mage, we'll be properfucked I think.

Astral Initiative: 6, 2, 4, 6, 2, 5, 3, 4: 3 hits, for 11.

Yeah the Earth spirit has about 13 Physical hit boxes, so he's a tough fucker.

T-t-t-triple post!

Whenever my turn comes around I'll cast Stunbolt horse 9 on the Watcher spirit.

Stunbolt horse 9 (DV = 3)
Magic (6) + Spellcasting (6) + Combat Magic Specialization (2): 1, 5, 4, 4, 2, 5, 4, 2, 5, 3, 2, 6, 2, 5: 5 hits.
Drain Resist (9 DP) : 2, 5, 6, 2, 2, 1, 3, 6, 6: 4 hits.

Righto, so combat round one goes:

Earth spirit
Leland
Chopper
Watcher
Earth spirit (pass 2)
Leland (pass 2)
Watcher (pass 2)
Leland (pass 3)
Watcher (pass 3)

The Earth Spirit, somewhat predictably, uses his first IP to materialise, popping into existence in front of Chopper. It looks a bit like the Thing from Fantastic Four, but more craggy and lacking a face.

Lelands spell then goes off, slamming into the watcher spirit. No one other than Leland can see this happening, as its all on Astral, but the Watcher spirit vanishes back to whatever metaplane it was summoned from, almost before the stunbolt has fully hit him. One down!

Chopper is up next.

Unarmed Combat (5) + Specialisation (2) + Agility (5) = 12

5,1,3,4,5,6,2,4,5,2,5,5, = 6

I will also be using Killing Hands and Critical Strike rank 4.

He rolls for defence, and gets 5 hits, so that's 1 net hit.
That gives you a modified DV of 7P.
He resists 5 points of that, so you do him 2P damage.

Watcher has gone byebye, so its Earth Spirit's turn to retaliate. Naturally, he's trying to hit Chopper.

He gets 4 hits.

Dodge (6) + Agility (5) + Combat Sense (3) = 14

6,6,5,2,1,3,4,4,1,6,5,6,6,2 = 7

Well, needless to say, he misses.

Lelands second IP next. Then his third.

I get 3 passes? cool!

I really need a single target physical damage spell...

I'll go to astral projection on my second pass and close with the Earth spirit for a Death Touch horse 9 (DV: 2) on my third.

edit: miscommunicaiton between me and joose, he thought I was already projecting so I only had the one IP. None of this happened.

I guess another initiative roll is in order.
Initiative (6) 5, 6, 6, 5, 2, 3: 4 hits, for an Initiative of 10.

Righto, then this round goes:

Earth Spirit
Chopper
Leland
Earth Spirit (pass 2)

mud boy is taking another swing for Chopper, gets 5 hits this time.

Dodge (6) + Agility (5) + Combat Sense (3) = 14

6,2,2,6,3,4,5,2,6,1,4,1,6,2, = 5

Hmm, does that mean he hits me or does it cancel out?

6,4,4,4,3,2,6,6,6,3,4,6, = 5

Technically, its a glancing blow. Means that if he were using a magical, touch based attack on you, it would count. But for combat, its a miss.

He rolls a mighty impressive 7 for the dodge, so you miss too.

Deject, you are up!

OK now I'm going to project.

Yep, I am definitely getting Manabolt or Powerbolt after this is over.

I read that as Manbolt. I bet you're getting that.

He always suffers from a lot of drain after working the Manbolt.

Okeydoke. Earth Spirit pass 2 then, and guess what hes doing

He uses some Edge, and gets a rather tasty 9 hits. Dodge that, Chopper!

Fooook.

5,5,2,4,3,1,3,4,6,5,2,1,5,1 = 5 hits. I think this is going to hurt.

Don't suppose my spell resistance will do anything for me at this point?
