Well unsurprisingly, since you're in tow with a Necanthrope, nothing bothers you on your journey back to the surface. True to his word Dour makes a phone call summoning a Kilcopter, and crediting you for the BPN. While waiting for the Kilcopter to arrive he suggests that you may want to edit the parts specific to Havoc from your cameras and sell the footage of the massacre of the Subterraneans.
Dour wrote:Such a show of strength against a feared gang would be useful to the company. It would be a shame to waste it. I hope you have a trusted media contact.
Yeah, Haynes can get it published for you. Who's submitting footage? The combat footage, trimmed to remove Smiler, is about 5 seconds. You can probably get another 10 seconds of before/after stuff spliced in there to pad it out, and he might be able to wangle you an interview too if the footage is any good (anyone got cinematography?).

I am indeed. Let me ferret out any relevant skills:Grimmie wrote: Kt'rr's great infront of the cameras, I seem to recall?
Hopefully deject will be able to send the video over with his oyster.
Telegenics (for looking awesome on camera, especially in the dual wielding assult rifles bit): 9,5,+7 = 21
Communique (for giving the interview, if they go for it): 6,7,+6 = 19
Dont have cinematography though. Im no video editor!

That could be fun. I need to get my loan and buy my fancy new armor though. DP, should I work that out with you over xfire/pm or is it just a simple thing? I just need to borrow 2000c.The Shutting Downs wrote:Who's going to Join Eraser on the Carrion Hunting in downtime?

The loan is standard as per the house rules. The carrien hunt depends on how you want to do it. If you're taking a Blue then you might get lucky and get some Carriens or you might spend three days traipsing round the sewers.
For the BPN you all recieve .5 SCL and 300c. On top of that you get 5 XP.
I'm developing some guidelines for working out footage so I can give you constant figures. My current thinking is:
Combat footage time as dictated by reasonable length of combat, in seconds. Multiplied by an arbitrary amount between 20c and 50c (usually). Telegenics fits in by being specifically filmed by a cameraman, adding 5% to the sum per point rolled over 10, and cinematography on the part of the cameraman has the same (cumulative) effect.
Padding (scene setting etc) of 1 second for every point rolled over 10 on a cinematography roll, at 5c per second.
Interview time as 1 sec per point over 10 on the interviewee's communique roll, plus +5% on the price per point of interviewer's interview roll over 10.
On top of that a business administration roll by the broker will add or subtract 5% per point over or under 10 to the total for an NPC, or 10% for a player (NPCs take a cut but are less risky). Each part of the footage will only take the highest roll from the squad's footage - only one submission for each type.
So, using this BPN as an example;
Combat: 30c/sec * 5 sec = 150c +50% for Joose's telegenics = 225c
Padding: 5c/sec * 0 sec = 0c
Interview: 10c/sec * 9 sec = 90c for Joose's communique
Subtotal = 315c
Plus a roll of 20 for Haynes' business admin is another 50%, 158c
Total: 473c
Make sense?
