Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I'll have a cautious peek in to the back of the van.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
The inside is decked out in old but well maintained looking electronic gadgetry. Aside from what appears to be quite a lot of computing power, there are also some large hanging gel monitors and a great many LED readouts showing mainly 000 or ERR.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I'll call this in to the Shivers and get some help for all the people who got run over hopefully.
Detect (4): 1, 6 + 4 = 11
After that (and making sure the rest of the squad is en route) I'll take a look to see if anyone else could have gotten out. This is Deject from the squad Five Punk. I need urgent medical response for a number of civilians at <location>. We were in pursuit of suspected TekTrex operatives who lost control of their vehicle and plowed into a store. I think we have all enemy agents in custody, but I need to continue securing the area. Unknown number of casualties at this point, but there are some that look grim.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
There's no evidence that anyone else left the van after it crashed, both front doors were closed when you got there and the back one was in view for pretty much the entire time.Shiver wrote:Medical dispatch en-route.

I'll sit near to the driver, on the nearest appropriately sized bit of rubble, and light a cigar. I'll offer the pack towards him.

I've rolled three 10s in the last four dice. I'm beginning to feel the need to check the D&D roller for bias again. Not that I'm complaining, mind.

An' if you could let us know where you were *exactly* you were headin' before you came off the kermit in such a spectacular fashion, I might be able to persuade my hirsute friend ere not to kick you in the jollies till they come clean off. Wouldn't that be nice, eh?

While Hal is getting his interrogation on, I'll make sure the guy who fell out didn't run away or something like that.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Well, you certainly don't offend the guy.
Deej, the guy who fell out of the van is exactly where you left him. A couple of Downtowners step over him as they go about their business.Tek Trex Suit wrote:Patch me up so Dr Dean's cronies can rape my mind? *cough* Thanks but no thanks buddy. Let me go and I'll tell you what you need. Don't want to let me go, might as well shoot me now.

I'll do a check on the guy, see how bad he's doing.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
If I were to let him go (hypothetically speaking) is there any roll or something I can do to judge if he is telling me the truth? I don't want to lose him only to discover his information is bullshit.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
Psychology is probably best. I think that's what I've used in the past.

Why would we let the guy go? If anything we should call in Risikko and hand the guy over for awesome interrogation time.

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
I was thinking maybe both. Tell him we will let him go, hear what he has to say, let him go and point the shivers at him. He is probably small fry, if we can get the location of his base from him, that'll be a much bigger win.deject wrote:Why would we let the guy go? I reckon you bring him back to the warehouse - that way if we dig anything up we can ask him about it.

OK, how about once we get the probably dead guy in Shiver custody and they start helping people then we can bring him back to the warehouse.Roman Totale wrote:I reckon you bring him back to the warehouse - that way if we dig anything up we can ask him about it.
Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
While you're pondering a Shiver medical APC arrives, at full speed, causing traffic to scatter or get pushed aside. A bunch of regular Shivers and a couple of Medical Shivers get out. The Medical Shivers wear a skull-like, high-tech looking helmet, and their armour is covered by a large white overcoat. They look around then one walks over to you;
he asks, clearly ignoring the multiple civilian casualties.Medical Shiver wrote:Where're the casualties?

Re: SLA Industries: Hunting the Machine
We have the two possible TekTrex, the one outside is dead I think, this guy here is banged up pretty bad. Everyone else is a civvie. I don't know how many there are, but this van was going pretty fast when it crashed into the store.
