Deej, scouting ahead, you start to hear commotion further up the tunnel. Gutteral roaring and human screams. It's out of range of your motion scanner. The four tracks lead on.
As you get closer your motion detector picks up a large amount of movement down the tunnel. The sound gets clearer and you pick up metallic banging. You also notice the human screams are more muffled than the roars and hyena-like chattering of the Carriens. Rounding a bend in the tunnel you can see the ruckus a few hundred metres ahead. There's four gauss carriages, the rearmost of which is on fire. The closest seems to have been barricaded up by its occupiers and is under siege from the Carriens. It's hard to see how many there are in the poor lighting, but you think there's easily fifty. There's also some larger varieties - at least half a dozen. From here and in this light it's hard to tell what they are, but the huge hunched over bulk of several of them mark them out as some mutant strain. There's no sign of Cube Face.
A little ahead and above you you spot an armoured Wraith Raider clinging upside down to the pipework on the tunnel's ceiling. He's watching the carriens.
Picking up the pace I'll get there as fast as I can. If Grimmie is still on auto could we do a Tactics roll once we get to action?
I'm pretty sure I can get the Carriens attention using Ebb Illumination - unfortunately that attention will be in the form of them wanting to eat my face. However, if we could funnel them (even more so given that we're in a tunnel) into a much tighter kill zone we could really fuck them up with full automatic fire and Ebb bombs.
