Re: Pete's third shadowrun adventure:Welcome to Fortune
As you crest the lip the storms horse becomes immediately more apparent.
Smith is thrown to the ground by a strong gust of wind and slides perilously close to the edge of the cliff, Alvrin shouts out as Smith slides past - everyone else can roll a strength test to run out and pull him back.
Jasper is also thrown to the ground by the gusts. But instead of sliding towards the cliff edge, he disappears. No one sees him fall but Jasper has found a crevasse that luckily only drops a short distance and has snow at the bottom, a jolt as he lands knocks the wind from him (2 stun). The light from the channel Jasper fell down casts enough glow to show a passage that lead off into the distance. The snow is swirling in through the hole in the roof, but there's only mild gusts of wind reaching you.
Up top, the wind is blowing hard, the snow is pouring, the swirling white outs are being split by thunder and lightning, the rumble like a second heart beat in your chests. The flashes searing across your eyes (except for those with compensation) the top of the slope is not a nice plce to be right now.

Re: Pete's third shadowrun adventure:Welcome to Fortune
Jaspers attempts at communication are spoiled by a crackling hish of static.
Could be the cave or it could be the storm, whatever it is it's rendering all attempts at talking to the team seemingly impossible. Outside, Ingress picks up an inbound signal from Jasper but can't get anything that makes sense. After boosting and repeating Alvrin's attempt to respond Ingress manages to get most of the message to Jasper.
Both Jon and Alvrin are needed to pull Smith back from the edge, slipping and sliding they manage to haul him and themselves back into the rocky outcrops beyond the ridge that formed the lip of the scree slope.
Roman, make a composure test please willpower + charisma. T=3.

Whoa there Doc, settle down. Panicking isn't going to help anyone out. We're heading out to find our patron and figure out what those abominations are, and we can't do that from Fortune. If you want to go back, we can try to contact town and see if we can get you out of here, but right now we need to figure out where Jasper went off to. Please, just help us look around and find him.

You will remain in that state until you pass a roll, target is 3 still (you lose a die each repeated roll). Or until your situation changes. Until then you can't do anything other than things that don't need rolls, such as complain bitterly.Roman Totale wrote:Will I be on a minus for lack of composure?
Deject - you forgot to add +3 for actively looking and +3(?) for your enhanced vision goggles. Not that it matters...
Alvrins keen eyes pick out the tracks from Jaspers tumble. A series of depressions in the snow where the skinny elf tumbled toward the hole in the ground. Faint heat traces mark the way, with your thermographic option showing a venting of warmer air from the hole.
The blizzard is still getting worse. The visibility is now at -4 as the snow continues to hammer down around you. The temperature with the wind chill is well into minus figures. Despite your gear soon you'll have to stop and camp or start suffering from the exposure.
