Very good filum and Ledger was utterly brilliant as the Joker. I must confess that I nearly burst out laughing when Batman first spoke though

Film was slated to start at 9pm. Every single time I've been to the cinema, that usually means that the adverts start at 9. We got there about 3 minutes past to find the film had already started, and the only seats left were right at the fucking front. I am in agony this morning. Seriously, what is the point of having seats that close? It was a fucking terrible view.

All in all I enjoyed the film. I'm going to have to see it again though, this time without having to bend my back like a limbo dancer just to see the screen.

They are entirely right that we should have should've turned up earlier, but to state that some people enjoy sitting in those seats is fucking bollocks. IMAX screens are 8 storeys high and the width of three buses - we were sat on the front row (about 10 feet away from the screen) and right to one side. You don't "feel immersed in the film", you get really bad back and neck ache - I'm in serious pain at the moment from watching that film.

I saw it again yesterday, in a normal cinema. Going from IMAX to regular cinema is like the difference between regular cinema to a big TV. Even so I'm not going to IMAX again if the seats are in the front half of the cinema. The discomfort wasn't worth it.

Still a great film second time.

The discomfort of being in a room with other human beings is too great for me not to wait until it comes out on BD.

Which may be a while, given the first one only just did.

saw it in the weekend, and concur with everything above. Ledger was brilliant and so was every other actor really, the only bad things that i can say about it is that it is a bit long and loses pace sometimes, and batman's voice was a bit silly, as also mentioned above.

IMDB is slowly getting less wrong.



Disclaimer: Dark Knight is good, but IMO it's not the best movie ever, not by a long shot.

Saw this again at the weekend (IMAX again, but in fantastic seats).

Bloody good film, Ledger really is fantastic. I know it will probably soon become fashionable to rip on his performance, but it was brilliant. The first time I saw it I thought he'd underplayed the part, but watching it again you realise that, despite the Joker's clear psychosis, it's actually sublimely subtle in places.

Aside from Ledger there were some other great actors - notably Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent. Bale was also good, but I felt Bruce/Batman lacked the character depth he had in the first film. Morgan Freeman and Michael Cain were both spot on, and between them produced some very funny moments.

It is a bit too long, and feels dragged out in places, but it is still sodding good.



Further note about IMAX. As mentioned we were in really good seats this time, with a fantastic view of the screen. That said, I really didn't see any difference in the scenes that were apparently shot especially for IMAX - it all looked the same.

Ledger's Joker was awesome but overall...meh...there was just too much...too many characters and it just rolled along without any need for thought...

Rachel? didn't like katie holmes in the first one and this one was just a bad choice...

Dent...fastest good to evil changeover I've ever seen...

Combine the 2 films....Batman Begins + Joker only

my first IMAX experience....quite nice....well, sitting in dead center...not sure if i'd like it anywhere else...those f'n shotgun shots were like right next to me which is way better than quiet movies...

Honestly, I don't think anyone can disagree that Ledger's performance was nothing short of amazing and easily deserving of the Oscar for supporting actor. He played the Joker with brilliance.
