Thinking about getting to Warwick castle, thinking that it would be a lot cheaper if we can fit everyone that's coming into cars and everyone put in for petrol money, rather than getting a taxi/ minibus.

Any thoughts from the drivers coming?

You could get the train, maybe. I can't remember where Casa Del Grim is in Brum, but Warwick castle is only about a mile away from Warwick train station.

train fares plus cab fares to the not so close nearest train station work out about the same as the taxi/minibus

I don't mind driving there and will take as many as fit in my car in return for them paying the car park/buying me a pint or something.

Local (5/10 mins drive) carvery are doing an all you can eat breakfast for £3.99.

They're serving, and I quite directly from the back of the leaflet, punctuation included:

That sounds really good (even if the handmade potato sounds dodgy) but by the time we get everybody organized and out the door it'll be over. I'm up for it though.

All you can eat bacon sounds fantastic/fatal.

Might be good for the saturday. If we're all getting up...relatively early to go to the castle anyway?

11 sounds more achievable than 10.30, assuming that's when they stop taking breakfast orders, not when they stop serving and it's a decent price, although I'd be equally happy with a bacon butty as at that hour all I can eat isn't all that much.

Oops, sorry. Only three passengers in mine, because it's got a stupid tunnel down the middle.

I watched a baking show where they made meatpies, we don't have that here and now I crave meatpies. Can I make a formal request for some bash meatpies?

What sort? We have a few: common ones being steak & kidney pie, shepherd's pie, pork pie, cornish pasty, scotch pie and I suppose technically samosas (although the non-meat ones are usually better) - some are easy to make, others easier to buy from just about anywhere, some you have hot as a dinner, some cold as a snack.

Thinking about our jaunt out to a restaurant, we have a few options. There's:

Mint which we went to last year, is an Indian restaurant, £3-£6 for a starter, £6-£12 for a main, £3 for a pint, £1.40 for a small soft drink.

Peachy Keens Is a buffet restaurant. £15 all you can eat multi cultural cuisine. They serve Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Thai, Japanese, Indian, Portuguese, a wide range of desserts and a live cooking station.Buffet price is £14.99, Soft drinks are £2.50 for a large and Pints range from £2.80-£3.25

Really, that's all we have in walking distance of Grimbash. Possibly a new pub but that's unconfirmed and google is no help.

Thoughts?
