:above: It's good single player. But when you add players it gets amped, more baddies, harder kills, better drops.

It's very well made for the co-op, taking a few seconds to seamlessly add a player and the increased mobs to go with. There was no stuttering for me whilst jumping round shooting and suddenly there's spoodie just as I had managed to aggro some bullymongs. As he appeared, throwing down a turret and blasting the mobs, so did their bigger friends and we had a big old fight on our hands. The major thing for me is that it took me longer to type out this description than it did for the game to re-calculate everything from SP to MP, all without a single dropped frame.

The way to look at it is if the first game wasn't much fun for you in single player, this one probably won't do it for you either. At it's core the game is basically the same, but with a lot of the stuff made better. It's Borderlands++. The enemy AI is a bit better, the enemy variety is a bit better, the interface is much better (though still constrained by being multiplatform).

I think it's fucking great, but I loved the first game too so...

I just managed to connect to a random game, so hopefully whatever was going wrong the other night is now fixed.

SHIFT codes for a Golden Key (used at the special chest in Sanctuary, in the room with the fast travel hub)

Windows: KBCJ3-KX9B6-XTBJT-TT33B-C9ZR3
Xbox 360: 5JKJ3-6TWSJ-BRXBX-K6JJJ-FXXWB
PS3: 5JKJ3-6TWKS-CSTCT-S3KJJ-FXX3W

These codes are good for 10,000 activations each, so I'd plug that shit in ASAP.

I signed up to shift on the website and linked my steam account there but apparently if you sign in to shift in game it gives you an extra key for joining. So if you did like I did, unlink your account, sign in through the game and get an extra key!

Nothing, a friend of mine had one spare and all his mates had already purchased it and having met some of us before he offered it to us.

I found these beauties last night. The sniper was in a green Dahl dumpster thing, so it just shows that you should compulsively OPEN EVERYTHING AND GO EVERYWHERE because you'll probably find something amazing.

The rocket launcher spawns a shit-ton of rockets when it fires by the way, and the sniper shoots like five bullets in a horizontal line. Totally badass.

I was given what looks like a steam/pc code for some sort of Arena type DLC thing today.

Anyone want it?

Theres something very odd about me and ZP reviews. I regularly agree with his individual points, but just as regularly disagree with his conclusions. Weird.

I think a lot of that is just that people like us are more apt to be forgiving or able to find the fun in spite of flaws. I'm sure there's some element of fatigue of seeing the same concepts or issues in game after game after game that might have something to do with it as well.
