oop, sorry. Saw the update, spent an evening considering my reply, then forgot to actually post anything.
Hal, leaning in a bit and talking quiet so only the leader can hear wrote:I'll tangle with however I want, sunshine. Don't you worry about me. You should be more concerned about who you are tangling with. What im offerin here see, thats the carrot. My companions are more keen on the stick.
I'll give significant looks at Grimmie and his gigantogun, Eraser the armoured stormer, and Dirk the obvious Ebon. I'll keep shtum about Deej, in case we need an element of surprise.
Now, I know you ain't a cupid stunt, and I know you don't want to lose face in front of your lads. But if you don't feel the fibre of my fabric and and spill the beans, Mr Eraser over there will have a go on you. And he, my son, will use your facking eyeballs as a facking sex aid. Now stop. Facking. About. What can you tell me about these "rude boys"?
All the above was said in the same calm, quiet voice.

Intimidation! 5 + 8,8 = 21! Thank fack for that.

The Jo loses his smile and glances at the other squad members as you point them out.

He plucks the Uni from your hand (if you let him).
Johannas leader wrote:Relax, we don't want any trouble. You want to look for the Red Snappers, they're your guys. They're tough though. They're at the Acott Arms.

All we know is that the fellas trying to shift the goods were called the Red Snappers, and they are holed up at the Acott Arms. Didnt say how many there were, but remember: we are after the source, not the middleman. If we run in there like a bunch o frothers, we might kill our lead. We talk first.
Hals blows a smoke ring.
Then you pull their Jacobs off.

I don't care, they won't see it coming. Well.. they won't see me coming.
Also, I'll do a computer search on the Red Snappers:

Computer Use (4): 1, 2 + 4 = 7

fucksocks!

Someone close Deej's laptop lid quickly, he'll be drooling over those fish for hours.

Grimmie looks rather pleased with Hal,even though he didn't understand a word he said.

Deej, you only find red herrings.

Would you like me to assume you ask for directions and find your way to the Acott Arms? The locals are none too friendly, but they fess up under the duress of a couple of Uni (or a pretty smile from Eraser).

Dirk wrote:Before we go to the pub, pressing need for beer aside, I think it might be worth speaking to someone who has bought some of this gear first. It would be interesting to see what we're dealing with before we start talking to them about it. Like Hal says, we're after the source - these guys might not have a clue what they're peddling. Plus, if it looks like new tech, we can get it sent back to the lab for analysis.

Hal, reckon your smooth talking could get us the name and location of someone who's done some business recently?

I think I'll go stake out the pub while you guys work your magic.

Hide (on approach): 9, 1 + 4 = 14
Sneak (on approach): 9, 9 + 4 = 22
Hide (in place): 2, 7 + 6 = 15

I'll just get a good spot with a view of the front and watch the comings and goings.

The Acott is an ugly, squat concrete building which stands alone in a square filled with wrecked cars and other assorted junk. It doesn't appear to be hugely popular, the occasional ganger or gruff looking Downtowner entering or leaving.
