Unsurprisingly it's herecomespete.

The next major update is partly in testing and partly still in development now.

We haven't decided on the exact version numbering and release date yet but are ready to reveal some information on the content of this update.

Main changes:

- New tech-tree - US tanks. 21 researchable tanks + 4 premium tanks.
- American tank crews added.
- Companies / team mode (15 vs 15 battles). (Probability of the appearance - high)
- Clan wars more. Test version. (Probability of the appearance - medium)
- From 2 to 4 new maps ("Cliff", "Komarin", and 2 more).
- Removed "teleports" of tanks at great distances when aiming at them.
- Introduced advanced graphics settings.
- Now for the first battle of the day (24h) player receives doubled amount of experience.
- Reworked interface of the platoon creation.
- Adjusted speed of burning of all tanks during the fire. Now the tank will burn at about 5% of durability per second.
- Multiple fixes and adjustment to match-making system.
- Fixed several places where tank can get stuck on the maps "Himmelsdorf", "Prokhorovka", "Lakeville", and "Hills".
- Changed destruction models and collisions of some objects.
- Removed dog squeals when driving over dog booth.
- Fixed collision-model of tank "Tiger I"
- Fixed repair time of tracks for some tanks.
- Redesign of screens “Barracks”, “Depot”, “Store” to match the general style.
- Some other minor fixes.

Notice: preliminary information. Changes are possible.

I will update this post as soon as there is news.

And yet you can still squash chicken coops and get a noise. Guess they ain't got no love for the feathery types.

For anyone that doesn't have it yet.
World of Tanks seems to love us. They have given us beta codes that have a free Valentine Tank included with them. http://www.shatteredcrystal.com/index.p ... eBetaNewsl If you've thought that you would just wait for the release of the game before trying it? Here's a reason to sign up for it right now. The Valentine tank is a premium tank that will cost you real life dollars once the game releases. So if nothing else you can sign up now and then you'll have it for when the game releases. This tank will carry over into production. We have more information on why this tank is special at the site. Hint: It was one of the most loved tanks for WWII.

I don't think it's coincidence that they've tried to fit the word 'love' into that as much as possible, seeing as the tank's a Valentine.

The size decrease on the rotation mechanism on the tiger is handy, nearly every battle I'll take a shot that fucks it, even from things like a20's.

I'm rather disappointed with the US tree. Presumably they'll expand on it. No Wolverine, no Grant, no Locust, no Chaffee, no Pershing. No tank killers at all (although I don't ever remember seeing any American fixed gun vehicles anyway). I'd put the Lee, Grant and Wolverine in a seperate branch of tank killers.

EDIT: Apparently the Grant and Lee were the same tank with different turrets. Well shut my mouth.

I'll be playing tonight. The servers are going to be full of American noob tanks for me to batter with my suped up BT-2. Home brew night again too, so guaranteed drunk-tanking fun.

Also, looking at screenshots of the US tech tree it looks like they've released less than half of it - the M10 sits in a Gun Motor Carriage tree that looks spiffy. I'll wait for that ta.
