And if you don't own this game you don't truly love horses. No exceptions.
On a sort of related note:

You're shown the dead eye thing at the same time as hand-to-hand combat, during an early mission with the snake oil salesman. I forget to use it most of the time though.

Aaah! I was wondering how I accessed level 2 dead eye, presumably it's after the missions with Mr West Dickinson.
Just loving the sharp shooter challenges "Kill 5 flying birds from a moving train". Bliss.

Last night had some lady stop me to give her a lift and then a load of dudes sprang out to rob me. Fortunately I've seen this before so killed the dudes who ran out and while she was begging me and saying they forced her to do I lassoed her, dragged her along behind my horse for a while and then the wolves finish her off

I fucking love this game

One thing I mean to try but not done so yet as it requires some setup: execution by train.

Rumour has it that the hog tied miscreants go pop when executed via train. Not tried it myself yet though.

And there is an achievement for it too!
I got someone and dumped her on the tracks but got bored of waiting so I threw her in a lake instead

I'm rather tempted to get this for the 360 now.

It's very good fun and I've not really dabbled much with the multiplayer yet

I did the train execution, but I didn't get an achievement. Perhaps because it wasn't a woman. It was two escaped male prisons, one head for each track. They did go pop though and I got paid for my efforts.

I almost posted before about the funny glitches but it's not quite the same without video evidence. Nothing game-breaking, perhaps immersion-breaking, and I've only noticed 3 in around 18 hours. The strangest was phantom bad guys occupying a mansion, I couldn't see anyone but they complained about me bumping into them. I hadn't started a nearby story section that involved storming the mansion.

Thoroughly enjoying this, but sadly I'm having real issues getting online. Every time I've tried has resulted in almost instant disconnection, citing connection problems with other players. Any of you chaps getting the same issues?

I ignorantly ignored your party invite last night, as I was deep into single player at the time. But I do tend to be ignorant when it involves me having to talk to people from the Internet. Which people may have noticed on TS.
