16,000?

What the piss are the designers thinking when they're working out scores these days?

Smaller numbers are much easier to digest.

I made about 6,000, about 1000-1500 of those points were proberly pins. plus 2 ribbons or something that were 5,000 each, or something along those lines. Or something. This was the round where I managed to take out an apc, then a tank and then knife 2 people in about 30seconds, fucking muppets drove straight past the apc I was fixing, so managed to get them in the back and finish the tank of with 2 rpg rounds.

I'm going to miss my dog tags at the end of beta :(

Your average consoletard likes big numbers.

I had a round last night where I just used the uav the whole game, I still posted a score of 2k on the board and then it added all the kill streak, efficiency, bully and not dying pins I'd collected for the game and it added another 6k.

I think I'm glad there's no prone or crouch toggle. It may discourage 3/4 of my team choosing sniper and sitting on the same hill for the whole game, not helping very much.

I have decided the megals are too easy to get, and the ribbons seem so too! So no sense of any accomplishment when you get them, so I tried to feel smug like 'slinger, but doesn't work :(

After playing another three or four rounds I've started to dislike it less. It's more of a beta in the real sense of the word rather than what I'd initially thought (i.e. something that was pretty much finished but being released to let people play it and just to get a tiny bit more testing done), which lets it off the hook a bit.

I do like that you can see your rank/unlock progress so clearly though at the end of rounds with the little bar with the black part of the bar being your progress before the round and the green showing the progress you made during the round, and I also like the class specific unlock progress bit... but I dont know why they don't let you see those anywhere from the main menu.

Also the general feel of the game is growing on me, it just feels a bit more intense than battlefield 2, and sounds much better too. It's been much more fun than the first few times I played. I threw a motionball on the ground near a building I was on the roof of, saw it light up like crazy so I jumped off the roof thinking they were marching up to kill me and landed behind all four of them. I did manage to stab three of them before any of them turned around

Some of the pins/medals/whatever seem worthless though, I had about 12 kill assist pins in one round

Edit: One thing that is really annoying me is the mousewheel being wrong. Scrolling down does not mean go up the list of weapons you monger. There's an invert mousewheel checkbox in the menu but it doesn't work/remember you ticking it, so in the final version if that actually works then hurrah

:above: That.

I think it was actually using the tank with support instead of driving it into the enemy base and wondering why it died so fast.

Could've been.

I must say, a 4 man 5punk squad was remarkably effective at doing whatever we put our minds to.

Yeah, mine dropped everyone bar Ty for some reason. Still, the server browser works a bit better and we can get on the same server without too much fucking about.

So who's actually got this on pre-order?
