I guess not, that must be a mock-up image on RPS. I got a halo, which is now equiped on all classes as I have no other hats.spoodie wrote:Am I right in believing you get horns if you did "cheat"?

I cheated like a bastard and still got a halo. I'm guessing it was before they started monitoring.
I went on a few idle maps, but got bored of waiting. Spent a lot of time on achievement maps actually trying to get achievements until I got bored of that, then found one where you typed a command and it basically unlocked every achievement.
I never got any hats through it, just the unlocks.

You know, we missed this: We've also significantly increased the chance of finding any of the existing hats.
Yay, 0.0001% extra chance or something!
By the way, that article doesn't mention anything about achievement_idle servers for one, and as for the "idler", it's basically NOT an external application, it's a lightweight interface to TF2 that prints information only you'd like it to
And for god's sake, they promised trading for the next update after the Spy/Sniper!

That is just weak semantics arguing. If you are "playing" the game using modified files and all that, then you really don't have much ground to complain from in my opinion.Baliame wrote:By the way, that article doesn't mention anything about achievement_idle servers for one, and as for the "idler", it's basically NOT an external application, it's a lightweight interface to TF2 that prints information only you'd like it to

They roughly tripled the chance of getting a hat. Which puts it at roughly one every hundred and something hours.Baliame wrote:Also, source: http://teamfortress.com/post.php?id=2787

And I thought I was bored of Downfall parodies.
It doesn't modify the files at all, it just launches TF2 without interfacedeject wrote:That is just weak semantics arguing. If you are "playing" the game using modified files and all that, then you really don't have much ground to complain from in my opinion.
It's still an average mate, assuming the average was three hundred and something before I'm probably still not getting one in this decade.Gunslinger42 wrote:They roughly tripled the chance of getting a hat. Which puts it at roughly one every hundred and something hours average.
