I'm working on the first to be posted, which is the first killing.

A man steps out of one of the buildings. He looks to be in his fifties and has a couple of scars on his face, but he sounds like he's in his thirties.

He narrows his eyes in a "what the fuck" kind of way.
Lower Downtowner wrote:Okay. Well I take it you're after the guy who killed Ralph in there. Nobody here saw it, but the Shivers came down eventually and took away a bunch of stuff. Word is that this killer has done a few more lately. Odd thing is, I remember something similar happening about five years ago. Very similar.

These killings from five years ago, were they in this same area of Downtown? Maybe a similar m.o.?
I'll look up murders from 5 years ago in the area with similar m.o.'s, and expand the area if there are no results.

Surprisingly, yes. Same sector, pretty much identical MO. The killer was found and killed by a squad of Ops. They described him in their report as having a disturbing grin.

So this could be a copycat then? I'll check back even further, let's go for 10 years back.

Nothing around here. You can check further afield, but I'll need another roll.

You're just going to a shiver station, I doubt you'll be needing backup. I won't be much use talking to shivers either so I think I'll continue checking things out at the crime scenes.

You get patchy reports, BPN numbers. There's quite a bit of information to sift through, along with a transmission from Station Analysis direct to your helmet fax containing similar information citywide from the past 5 years. At first glance it looks like there might have been a number of similar occurences at various times and in various parts of the city. It'll take hours to process the information properly though.

Fairy Muff, I just thought some other talkies may want to pop along (then again, I don't really suppose there are any more, apart from Phobe but she's doing other things.

Phoebe to all wrote:I am not thinking this guy is just a copy cat, especially with all the other similar reports and MO's. This sounds more like the calling card of some sort of cult. I think we need to look for more clues and talk to some more folks around here. Can we collate the locations of the most recent killings on a map? Maybe see if there is an epicentre or something. I think I am going to stay around here for now Spindle, but you should go and check out what the Shivers have to say.
Phoebe to lower Downtowner wrote:Do you know anyone else who we can talk to around here? Did you know any of the other victims? Any information or leads you can provide us with would be helpful.. there have been a few incidents recently and we want to put an end to it fast for the sake of your community.

Phoebe to Dirk wrote:Dirk, since you are going to check out the bodies and stuff, maybe you can do some forensics on the killer from five years ago that was killed or check his files. Check out his face and the grin they are talking about... what was he? And is the grin from being brain washed or some sort of surgery or a scar ... or maybe they were victims of being slashed themselves... Y'know bit by a vampire, become a vampire? Who knows, I have seen stranger things.

Lower Downtowner wrote:I don't know anything else, but I reckon the guy must be from around here. We're not like you people in Uptown. We can't sit in front of the TV all day ignoring each other. You see someone who doesn't belong, and soon everyone knows. Half the sector will know you're here already.

Phoebe to Lower Downtowner wrote:Right, I see... Maybe we should go then. We have a lot of things we can do elsewhere to investigate. Sorry to trouble you.
Phoebe turns around and walks back towards the team rolling her eyes.

I hate people like that! How much of your ass do you want me to kiss?? Urrgh. Anyway... Do you think a stake out around here is necessary? Maybe Deej can set up his camera or something somewhere... like not IN here but somewhere? I still want to talk to some of the people, I agree with Grimmie, lets go to the most recent killing then.

I could, but I think it'd be a waste of time. I haven't seen anything to indicate the killer would come back here. There's probably going to be a few bums going in and out so without any idea of who we're looking for I say we move on.
