Naughty Joose! *slaps wrist*

He is however correct. Using your actual eyes may help too of course.

Yeah, I'll do that too. Do I recognise what's special about this guy?

Perception: 4 + 4 INT = 8

2, 1, 4, 2, 4, 5, 5, 5: 3 hits.

I take it you mean Faustus? And what exactly do you mean by special?

You know he's the man in charge, that his robe is glowing so much you can't even look at it properly and that he just punched through someone. That's fairly special.

If you mean why is he like this, you've seen possessions that go wrong produce oversized lumpen creatures of mindless violence that looked like him. The guy is bursting at the seams with power, but you can't tell were from, if it's magically channelling into him constantly or just that he's brim full of high end bioware.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Fuck knows then, all I know is he's going to kill me as soon as he's run out of hippies to smash up. Who else is between me and him? I'm kind of reluctant to leave all these people to die, but I'm getting flashbacks to the swamps and discretion is the better part of valour.

Yep. I don't know if I'm jumping the gun because I don't know who's next, or what I can get away with doing in a combat round when I'm not planning on doing combat. Or how much of what I've done needs to be in a combat thing.

When bullet time starts everything is listed in terms of actions. Even talking counts so remember that before you hve your character quote some pithy line in combat and then need a free action for something else.

We're in round one, Doggers is spent and I'll have the robes do their thing when I get in from work.

ah, right.

For the record (as this is a common source of confusion in SR), each of your "goes" in a combat turn let you take either two simple actions or one complex action. Theres a list of which is which in teh ruuls, but I might put a quick reference thingy together on the wiki at some point.

Blue robes are doing a similar thing to the wiccas, standing round chanting and ignoring everything beyond Faustus. Some of them are glowing nicely through their sigilled robes, some aren't so shiny.

The crowd are still staring vacantly at the stage, smiling and happy.

Also, given my lack of scale on shit maps I think people may be underestimating size of room. Think this below, Faustus is just off the stage, punching women. Roman and Pant's are both near the back (where picture is taken from) The entrance double doors are just behind and off to the right with picture perspective.

Right.

Faustus
Wicca
Roman
Pants
Blue Robes

Perception test too please! This one is a freebie.

The 'professor' singles out a knot of three wicca who've ended up quite close together. Such is the horse of his spell the air around him seems to boil as he stretches his hands toward the group. his mouth distends horribly, jaws widening far beyond their limit and he vomits a stream of dark dark stinking liquid toward them.

Two are instantly engulfed in a screaming flailing and melting mess, their flesh sloughing from their bones as they slip and slide in the tide of filth. The third manages to dodge the worst of the goo and is on the floor screaming as her right leg and hip dissolve from the bone, she's unconscious in seconds. There's black goo now running from Faustus' eyes and nose, looks similar to the stuff he just vomited out.

There's six Wicca left, they're all still standing still chanting, barely noticing the horror inflicted upon their sisters. One looks at you Roman, she does a double take and then shouts
Wicca wrote:You, I know you! Betrayer of faith! Why are you here? It matters not! Redeem yourself and attack the creatures in robes! They make the monster near invulnerable! We HAVE to stop them from completing!
She then turns back to chanting.

Perception 4 + 4 INT = 8

5, 6, 4, 1, 4, 1, 6, 5: 4 hits. Better.

Are there any nearby robe blokes?

The robes are fairly spaced out around the edges, a quick count up gives you sixteen. There's three within a few metres of you. A couple are at the front, facing the two rows of frozen audience that are split by the central aisle.

Perception (3) + Intuition (5) = 8

3, 4, 4, 5, 1, 6, 5, 3: 3 hits.

Edit: oh yes, forgot it was my turn.

I will cast Level 5 Fireball (area) at the 3 who are close by.

Magic (5) + Spellcasting (5) = 10

5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 2, 3, 5, 3, 6: 7 hits. (I'll just be keeping it at 5 though)

Drain Value (F/2)+5 = 7 rounded up

Intuition (5) + Willpower (3) + Focused Concentration (2) = 10

2, 6, 6, 5, 1, 6, 4, 3, 5, 4: 5 hits.

Am I right in thinking I take 2 Stun damage from that?

Assuming I see Roman's pyrotechnics, I think I might lend a hand.

Here we go...

Summon guardian spirit. Summoning 5 + 5 MAG= 10

I'll go for a horse 6

3, 4, 3, 3, 6, 3, 1, 3, 2, 4: 1 hit. Gaaaaaah fuck shit dice.

Right perception - Both of you manage to spot that not only is the bloody remains of the wicca that Faustus punched to bits not actually bloody, neither is the floor around her. And the three he vomited on, all the effluence from the two dead ones has dissipated too. Just bones, teeth and melted belongings remain.

Also, there's black circular lines forming on the roof at random points, they look like ripples on a pond but they're rippling inwards. There's three points so far.
Roman Totale wrote:Am I right in thinking I take 2 Stun damage from that?
Yes. Do you require a blank data sheet that shows how much you have before you fall over? I can send you one if you want.

The fireball - the sudden flame that washes over the three blue robes pours around them with a crackle of heat. One is unaffected and simply continues chanting, another yelps and beats at her robe as the symbols flicker alarmingly, she's mostly just cooked like she's been standing by a bonfire too long. The other one suffers a bit more, he screams as his hair flashes away and blisters form on his bare skin. None of them have stopped chanting.

Pants - As you summon the ghostly spirit of Samedi coalesces next to you, a tall powerfully built black man dressed in a black suit and top hat. He's grinning through his skull paint and twirling his cane as he jumps into your body. You start thrusting your hips at the wicca and produce a cigarette from somewhere and light it up.

I rolled a fat 0 on the spirits resistance so you get 1 service and no drain, jammy bugger.
