Sci-fi FPS offering set in a post apocalyptic Earth. Doesn't seem to be a huge amount of information available, but the site seems to hint that it's currently in a vaguely playable state.
Open beta starting on Monday - http://www.fallenearth.com/node/136
I'll probably give it a look.

The concept is one I could cream repeatedly over, but the execution appears to have been somewhat botched. It looks like shit.

So I'll wait for borderlands instead.

My immediate thought on seeing a preview was omg win.

Second thought was, it's an MMO best leave it for 2-3 months until they finish it.

Why do you consider the execution to be fail already?

Just the picshures and videos make it look ugly circa 2003. Possibly I'm being harsh given their lack of aitch dee, but it also appears to have had very little advertising and what not. It just generally strikes me as a bit shit.

I'll look again in a few, especially as Pnut bought it and I guess he'll post screenshots.

Quite a bit of "catch" there. The DL page makes it look like its the whole game but still, its a bigass demo if ya like it...well, if you're in the US :P

I remember I bought it when it first came out...played it for a month and gave it to my friend who just stored it in his closet.

Maybe it'll just stay there. What I want...what I really really want...is something new and there's plenty of new coming out soon...

Yeah, I actually just bought the boxed version of DDO for like £1.50 hoping they'd extend the free play thing to Europe and that I'd therefore qualify for the medium level of subscription which removes some harsh restrictions on chat, auctions, mail, gold storage and login priority, but was politely told the offer will not be extended to our shores, though I was given the option to buy a US retail box and play on their servers.

Presumably I can just sign for the pikey sub and play it free should I choose, nothwithstanding the inherent problems with a transatlantic connection.
