Deject: Looking through Shiver records shows that there's no instances of juvenile gangs in the area of the break-ins. Cross referencing with open BPNs shows that the reports have prompted a blue to check for a breach in the wall below surface level.
Dirk: Dan, while not particularly keen on helping Willy (also, it turns out his name is Geoff but Willy insists on calling him Dan. He's unsure if it's deliberate), is cooperative. He was heading back to his apartment after abandoning his night out early, and upon reaching his corridor he was forced aside by a group of very ill-kempt and dirty children. He says they varied in size, so probably between about 8 and 14 years old, and he suspects there were a few girls amongst them but it was difficult to tell. He says they showed no fear of him as they brazenly hurried past him with Willy's TV and valuables.

Not sure if it's even worth going down for that, though it might lead us somewhere if there is a breach. What do you think?

Might be worth checking out just for the info. The thugs might be down there somewhere.

Spindle's being awfully quiet today.

Judging by Dan's description, the kids sound like they're from Downtown. Dirk, call Haynes and see if he's come up with anything and to look into the blue. Otherwise all I can think of is to try the next break-in and see what else we can come up with.

Assuming that Haynes answers...
Dirk wrote:Hello Mr. Haynes! We're looking to pick up a blue BPN for this area - something about investigating a breach in the wall below surface level. Any chance you can have it passed our way?

Haynes wrote:Hang on while I check. Incidentally, you came back clean at Cloak. I wouldn't have been able to tell you anything they were investigating you for anyway, but as it happens there's nothing to tell.

Right, there's a Blue at the Crib that looks to have been raised by the Shivers in response to burglaries in your area. It's a pretty low end one and it's sat in the stack, I'll pull it out and get it issue to you.
I'll post the details tonight when I'm home, but basically it's to check an area of the sewers for breaches in the wall between Downtown and Suburbia. Minimum wage stuff.

Grimmie looks a little disapointed at the low, low wage on offer and stuffs his phone back into it's holster.
Grimmie wrote:Looks easy enough.
Want to devote the entire squad to this one, or chance it and split up while a couple of us continue sleuthing?

I can have a look on my own I guess. Have you guys decided what you want to do next?

Dirk wrote:Well, from an admittedly selfish point of view I'm going to go through with the BPN just to get my stuff back. There may even be more money in it for us if we find a hoard of stolen goods.
I reckon we head to the site of the where the breach is supposed to be. Might need to ask around the area to see if anyone has seen gangs of youths emerging from the ground. Also think it might be a good idea to load up on some Browbeater rounds, or at least commandeer some weapons from the Shivers - if it does get out of hand we don't want to be mowing down a group of kids. Well, Deject might.
And sorry if I'm still a bit hazy on this, but how and when are we introducing Joose and TSD's characters?

Don't worry about it, I've got it in hand. I'll be introducing them.
Browbeaters are weapons by the way, not ammo. Well, they're sort of both but they're only used with each other.

Well then if you're coming with me Dirk, make the call to the contact, and let's get on it. I'll start looking for entrances to the underground around here.

Mr Avery wrote:Erm, yeah. We think there's a breach somewhere between markers H33 and H38 in Leyton Lines, near the surface. Get in there and find it, secure it, then call in an engineering team to block it. I'll send you the number over for them, they'll be waiting on the surface. The markers are written on the wall, and they're marked on the sector utility map, which I can send you too if you have trouble finding them. Any questions?

No, he said machinery. No rotting flesh this close to uptown.

Mr Avery wrote:We don't know that there is a breach, but Shiver reports indicate criminal insurgents from Downtown are operating in that area and usually that means there's a breach somewhere. Other squads will be checking the other sections of the wall, so watch your fire at the edges. If there's nothing in your area just report in that you're clear.

What sort of distance is there between H33 and H38?
Deej', let's go down and start asking the residents if they've seen anything, start at one end and see how far it is to the other. Dirk can grab some non-lethal stuff while we get investigatin'.
Personally I'm just gonna punch the little brats if that's all that's down there - anything bigger with any kind of gun, and I say we shoot!
