urg, I've just re-read my post whilst sober and I appear to have gibbered quite a lot.

I have no problem if people go to uni to do a degree they enjoy, regardless of whether it may lead to a lucrative job or not. The ones who annoy me (ie my old school friends and a few people I've worked with) are those who pick a relatively piss easy degree (I say piss easy purely based on the opinions of the people who've done them) and expected to be treated like gods when they enter the job market.

For example, a few years ago I had a shitty admin job and worked with a guy who had a degree in business studies or economics. Every day he would complain "I've got a degree, I shouldn't have to be doing this". So what did he do about it? Fuck all. He's still there doing the same job expecting everything to be handed to him on a plate.

On the other hand, I know some thoroughly nice, hard working people who went to uni also. And some cunts who didn't. As Joose said, the cupcake/nice ratio is even across the board.
