all I got is:
5punk's temporary beach Head. Bring Rum.
although searching has begun to improve now

//edit........
to use the rifle you need outsider knowledge if you are a native, methinks.
There's lots on the wiki, if that helps...
blunt knives can be sharpened and you can trade stuff in the huts.

That were me!, I carved it on a tree dog pants was stood next to.

Looks like a few of us are from the same village!

Yep, I'm hanging around Wiksik trying out self-poisoning. Maybe we should have our own hut.

There's an NPC trader hut on the east side of the village, but I don't know if you get XP for it. You could trade with other players by giving them stuff and them giving you stuff in return I suppose if you trust them.

By the way, I'm in the hut in the south at the road entrance to Wiksik if anyone wants to come say hello.

The Shartak Wiki is your friend.

Try to find or trade a sharpening stone. Then, whenever you have more than one machete, trade some of them in for a cutlass.

Then, if you have more machetes, just trade them in for gold, or whatever else you fancy.
Best way to gain XP as a native is to heal people by finding healing herbs in med tents, and then getting the triage skill and just keep going.

Also, by healing people whilst offline, I have been given an awful lot of gold as thanks, which is nice :o)

This is a really useful tool, providing you have found or have traded a GPS.

http://www.itechsc.com/misc/shartak/ube ... er.user.js

It's a greasemonkey script, and it shows a map underneath the left hand side navigation pane, which is great for working out where you are and so on.

Wouldn't have a clue where to find a GPS, so your best bet is to trade shit in for one, because unlike Urban Dead, they are worth it.

Started playing a bit myself http://www.shartak.com/profile.cgi?id=3838

Level 1 with exploration so far. It is enjoyable but I'm still getting used to it.
