That really would depends on 3 things happening in rapid suscession, imho:
1) We empty the POS. I mean completly. Hafnium, Ferrofluids, Megacyte, all that trit.
Everything of any value that isn't fuel, and we do it quickly
2) we chartrted that freighter mate of yours and pay him with the isk we've got in hafnium alerady in empire.
3) we get another months (or two) of POS freightered down to marge, then get every last drop stored at the POS.
We get this done fast, only thing we'll have to do if nip back every few days for 5 mins to top up the tower, empty the silos and haul stuff back to marge.

...and only then. This is an idea, not a plan as yet. As ever, lots more detail to be worked out, including belt allocation, logisitics of what and how to move down there, fighting cover, haulers...you get the picture. As James quite rightly pointed out, the requirment for ISS members to have a POS really limits are flexibility. And judging by the forums arguments I get the feeling that take up is not that great yet.

Are we using the freighter to run things back again?
If so can I dump a load (well, few thousand m) of my crap in and pay my share if there is sufficient space after the corp stuff?
While it is a top idea for a corp pass, surely we can find other places (BWF for example) where we can do all that for free?

Well, we rent it in 100K m3 chunks, and afaik we're only going to be using about 85K m3 going up. Someone want to correct me?

Does this mean you'll be online? At the POS? and you have a hauler there right?
* Hehulk really wants to get the emptying underway

Heh, or create an alt, have em join 5punkorp and give them POS managing rights

Good point well presented. If we can do an op in BWF that gets as much isk as Tenerifis (notwithstanding that we'll not be ratting of course) then it's probably a better idea, especially given its proximity to the markets. Is there enough ore there for a decent barge op? What are the threat levels like compared to Tenerifis? Have we got the resources to buy / build / move several barges up there?
Side note: Mano will very soon be kitted out in a Crokite mining cruiser. Whilst not a barge, it has greater get-me-the-fuck-outa-here-ability. Oh, and she has recently finished Production Eff 5

There are a few belts which, assuming the fuckwit rock poppers haven't been at them, would be able to withstand a barge op easily. There is also always people watching for hostiles and dealing with them if poss although obviously if the threat is big enough, a full on 'leg it back to station' is needed but insta jumps and docks will be provided to all involved.
Personally I go for a Crokite-kitted-out BS :D want to upgrade to an Apoc though to get that 8th Mining laser
As always vigilance is needed but the warning system is good (as long as you keep an eye on the right channels and run away when told to!)
Ratting is also pretty good there im told (but its a while since i've been there so I can't compare it to the POS) but they get some decent sized BS's if I remember rightly
p.s. Woo Bitch!

The rocks in BWF can get prety large (3K+, for the crokite). My own gripe with that place is that you need to haul however much ore you mine two jumps to a refinery. Say we mined 200K M3 (pretty standard for us really), that's alot to haul, more so if BE come a calling and people then have to start logging out because of time constraints

This is very true, I may be mining there tonight so ill try and get a feel for how it is atm
but if we try and make sure everyone brings a hauler as well (if poss) that should make the final lug easier

*Bump* Because of the growing piles of trit we're amassing, and the fact that our carrier pilots are still months from flying them, might we look at a freighter again?

I think that sounds like a fine plan, i'm only about 50-60 million short of being able to fly one

Im tempted to say bollocks to the freighter right now as the carrier would be way more efficient and safer too I would assume
/me is also training in that direction

<--- I like this 'spack out and go mental smiley)
I just hope more of the skills need intelligence after my 'find' last night
