Not to mention the british colonialists who took all the land and still farm it!

(Serious note - I still don't know why we haven't sent some super secret ninja bastards to slot mugabe, it should have been done years ago)

On a similarly linguistic note: People who use the phrase "at this point in time"

At this point, or at this time! You don't need to say both!

Other things that annoy:

Laws brought in just to make the shouty minority happy
Laws that are essentially unenforceable
Unscientific Scientists ("All current theories are FACT! Never mind that every generation of scientists before us have been wrong about *something*, we are now arrogant enough to assume everything we think is correct")
Religious people who get their own religions wrong.
Stupid people
People who drive like morons, then get angry with *you*.
Further to the above, people who re-arrange "mirror, signal, maneuver" into "Maneuver and signal at the same time, forget about the mirror"
Also to do with driving, fuckwits who sit in the middle lane of the motorway for no reason.
Again, driving, people who think the right hand side of the motorway is just for people with posh cars.
Most white van men.
Taxi drivers.
In fact, most people who's job largely involves driving about in a company vehicle.
The way the news is now being reported like its a bloody drama. Just give me the facts! No emotive music or interviews with crying people!
Shopping in Leicester at the weekend.
Chavs. Just generally.
People who equate not understanding something to it being shit.
Tracy Emin.
Having to go to work.

Im sure I can think of more later.

Risk aversion!

For example, not allowing firemen to take down street decorations because they've not been trained how to climb ladders, despite the fact that they've been doing it for the last 25 years without incident.

If you all gathered together in a circle and focused your hateful intent, you might actually be able to create a beam laser and blast things off the planet.

Now that would be awesome. You could kill chavs and everything.

Uh oh, <s>patch</s> break day.

Being as this is a rant thread:

CCP's seeming inability to fix any part of their game without breaking innumerable other bits of it.

Add to that list EA, Valve, Funcom, Atari and quite a few smaller development houses too.

As evil and sometimes misguided as EA are, they're fucking huge, which allows them to throw arseloads of money at developers, which makes for generally decent games.
