true that but when you have school at night and when you leave to come home its in the low 40s its too cold. called me a wuss it's all god. man invented heaters for a reason. all though i did see a guy in shorts on one of the touring bikes. shocked me to the point i almost wrecked my car staring. i'm rooting for them global warming days to ride.

My 'new' car is also a bike, but only an ickle 250cc Yamaha SRV250. Apparently it's a relatively rare bike - especially in China - and it only cost me just over four hundred quid, so I'm happy except for the fact that it's getting too cold to ride in Beijing. The lack of proper license plates, documentation, insurance, etc.? Merely a formality, and one that nicely complements my lack of a motorcycle license.

I am told that driving without a license in China is 28days jail Eion and I've been stopped whilst breaking that particular aw once (although a lot of "act the stupid confused foreigner who speaks just enough broken chinese to make an excuse" got me sent down the road, possibly my crowning moment in China) Take care!

indeed. *no-one* but the brits seem to get the point of a steel frame, whic is wierd as it's a canadian made from from an american company. The flemish guys I work with are the worst, they just give me this bemused "but it's heavier than it needs to be" look. It's the nuts, but it does weigh about 33lb :S

*I mostly ride alu, but that's just because the frames i've liked weren't made of steel.

I have a pair of stilts and a pogo stick.

My bike is a Rayleigh bog-standard bastard, weighs a metric tonne. But i got it for free, and i bet it gets more use than berk's overpriced Heinz can on wheels

Oh, getting a license is definitely on my 'to do' list. One of the trial lawyers from work has agreed to come and get me out of the detention centre if necessary, though.

No, I don't ride much these days, mainly because I'm pretty broken and there's nowhere fun around here.

One of those, but with lovely Halo twin rail tyres, some shitty Manitou six forks and even worse rim brakes.
