Nope, more fail. Unless anyone else has any ideas, I'm gona get an RMA number and send the gear back

also, try resetting the bios to defaults.

maybe even try flashing the bios to a newer version.
and poking about on the mobo maker's forum, it's possible someone had the same problems.

possibly with a usb stick (rtfm)
other things to try are memory. only use one stick in first slot, hit it with memtest too.
make sure your PSU is up to the job.

Memory I double checked last night, either both sticks are fucked or it's fine, PSU is more than up to spec (I checked before I bought the goods)
