He looks like he's about to say something, then changes his mind and continues.
Keane wrote:These guys are pushing revamped Chrome tech. The sales exec who approached us was claiming they'd got together some of the old cyber docs and improved the tech so we don't get the burn like the Rust Alley vets. He's probably bullshitting us, and I wouldn't have even entertained him if they hadn't already met with the local Gangers. The Johannas pushed them during a tech demo and a few of them didn't come back. They reckon the guy they had running the implants was one tough cookie. Needless to say, they've screwed the pooch with their chances of getting their hands on any implants now. A couple of our troopers volunteered to give the stuff a shot if it looked good, pretty big gamble if you ask me but they're rookies looking to get ahead in the game. If the stuff came off we could maybe match up with the Karma stuff.
He glances up at Eraser.
Keane wrote:Well, not quite. But the Jo reports sound like it's up there with Nuke Tendons and then some, and the old Chrome tech had some serious potential. So we arranged for a meeting tonight. Course, then you guys showed up. Not very subtle, but maybe that was the idea. That fake scout mission around the facility in the sewers was cute. I'm not tangling with the company again though, and if these Chrome boys are bringing the big Eye of Slayer into my sector then I don't want them here any more. So I suppose I have to trust that you guys will stick to your word, and give you a bit of an incentive. Carrot and stick, but lets stick to the carrot for now. I don't trust these upstarts anyway, so I've not a lot to lose by helping you guys do your job and get back to Uptown. We were going in heavy, heavier than those gangers by a long stretch, just in case they gave us any trouble. So now we'll see what they're made of. And if you want to cart off the cyber hardware for whatever black marketeering you fancy then good luck to you.

Hal, nodding politely wrote:Thank you kindly, squire.
I'll leave, presuming they don't try and stop me.

Go Go Gadget Scout Wraith Raider?

Sneak (4): 7, 10 + 4 = 21
Hide (4): 4, 4 + 4 = 12
Detect (4): 5, 9 + 4 = 18

The Citywide facility is a fire damaged and partially collapsed five-storey factory, producer of the ubiquitous Mort Taxis, among other vehicles. It's quite large, several hundred meters square, and there are four entrances on the side you're facing alone - two vehicle sized, two small pedestrian, and a set of heavy double doors. You can't see any signs of life at the moment.

Ive had a thought: this is a meeting point, not their base of operations. If we jump them here, even if we win, and then even if we manage to take at least one alive, we would still then have to horse the location of their base from them. I cant imagine that would be easy. How about we stake the place out instead, wait for them to come, wait till they get bored and fuck off, and follow them home?

Idea: how about we get the Jos involved too? If they got a bloody nose last time they might be looking for a bit of payback. Even if they just serve as a distraction.

Well then.

Deject, from wherever you're perched outside the old Citywide factory you spot some goings on. A few fire teams of lightly armoured guys in red armour, Snappers by the look of them, arrive discretely on foot and set themselves up in observation posts covering the entrances.

Just so I have everything straight in my head, the Snappers were contacted by these Trex goons who are apparently slinging more augmentation stuff that is supposed to be Nuke Tendon level performance. They're meeting where I and the Snapper guys are.

Is that about right?

If so, you guys should be near in case we need to move quickly.

Right, I'll go and have a word with one of the Jos then if no one has any objections?

I certainly don't.

They're not hard to find, especially since they're attracted to Hal's car like flies. You can only assume the most leaderly one is the one with the most bling.
