apparently I can last for 6 hours in the Astral plane before I die.Hey Frank, just an FYI, if you move my body while I'm projecting, and I can't find it, you'll have doomed me to death. I can only project for so long before I have to return. If I can't make it back to my body, my spirit withers and fades and my body will be brain dead. So please don't move my body unless we've previously agreed upon some location because fading into the astral plane is not the way I'd envisioned to go.

I'll call my drones back into the van and grab the dragonfly before they float back into the drone racks.
On the way there, Nikolai makes a mental note to upgrade the signal rating on his LEBDs when he has a spare moment.
Once everyone's inside, the doors hiss and close, and the van springs into action.Frank is good strategist. Best not to run head first into things.
Tomorrow we can scout facility properly, N-Zo and I can have thorough look without time pressure.
We go to barrens now? I can ask Yelyena to take us close to the location.

Or we could go with the fact N-zo speaks Japanese...HereComesPete wrote:Surely as a computer type N-zo would be able to run the convo through a translator? but I guess that needs a roll?
If I can pull the logs for transcript at my leisure and keep the recording until it's all finished, I'm happy.
Then, edit to remove my presence from the node: 8 dice (as I'm not on my PC it's the D&D roller for now...)
5,2,3,4,6,3,6,2 = 3 hits
Then outside the node will do the same on the clubs records:
2,5,2,6,2,2,5,2 = 3 hits

Having spoken to Joose, apparently I can use my LEBDs through the city's mesh, so there's no signal limit in built up areas like this.
I will however be under previously stated distance constraints once we reach the barrens, unless I get a signal repeater.
Never the less, if we're leaving it for tonight, I'll still be bringing both LEBDs back and driving to the barrens.

So moving on to the barrens address: im a little confused as to who is/is not going. Thanks to the new anniversary edition of the rule book (its aces) I now know that Nikolais van is big enough for everyone to pile in if you so wish. Not that Im saying you have to do that, mind.
So who is/isn't heading into the barrens?

okey-doke.
Leland does manage to get "digits" before he leaves. Just after he leaves, he realises the girl must have still had some of the drugs effects going on, as she seems to have given him his own comlink number. Weird.
You make your way out to the address in the Barrens. Its a particularly dreary street, with most of the buildings on it that are still standing having borded windows. *Everything* is covered in gang tags, both electronic and traditional spray paint. There's a burning car of some sort on the opposite side of the road to the address you have, with a couple of street bums warming their hands on it. Other than that, the place seems completely devoid of activity.
The building at the address you have looks, at first glance, no different from any of the others. If you were not looking for it anyway, you would have gone past without a second glance. However, unlike the others, it actually looks reasonably structurally intact (as chopper notices), and the lack of weeds or assorted crap on the path up to the door makes it look like people at least occasionally go in there.
As you park up in the street, one of the bums nudges the other one, and nods at you. They both start watching you, like you are some sort of amusing street performance. Before you ask, no, you couldn't have approached stealthily, not without parking way around the block. You haven't seen another vehicle in a good couple of minutes driving.

I'll check the astral plane for any threats.
Assense (4) + Intuition (4): 1, 6, 5, 3, 4, 4, 4, 3: 2 hits.
