If I'm interpreting it right, I could advance up the fire escape on the opposite building and walk across on floor 14 or 16 to be near to Adrian's pad.
If I think there's less chance of Adrian seeing/hearing our approach on the opposite walkway, I'll suggest Feebs and Spindle follow me up there instead.
Edit - Forgot my minty tictacs roll.

Yep, that's right. You have no problem getting to the walkway, although you've no idea where Ordley's apartment is with respect to you. A flimsy and decaying fire door leads out onto the equally flimsy and decaying walkway, although not so bad that you don't think it would support your weight. The wind and rain buffets you as you step out.

Assuming that we're not already in Ordley's corridor I'll do a quick check of all the ones we pass.

Neither of you see anything remarkable, but when Dirk et al reach Ordley's corridor they can see that the door od the room they're heading towards has its door wide open.

I'll hook my climbing stuff onto the walkway between buildings and drop down from floor 16 to 15, which should deliver me to the fire escape exit at the end of the corridor that Dirk is standing at. I'll assist Spindle and Phoebe down as quietly as possible and then draw my rifle.
Grimmie over comms wrote:Let us in, would you Dirk?
Looks like if he wants to escape using the stairs he's gonna have to burst out into the corridor first anyway.
Assuming someone lets us in, I'll suggest that Phoebe pokes her head around in the most sneaky, stealthy way possible and see what's going on. We could really use some sort of camera drone about now. A Russian one, maybe.

Pants, will I have to walk past the open door to open the fire escape?
Posted: April 25th, 2009, 17:59
by Dog Pants
Nope, it's on a little corridor adjoining the one you're in half way down, a few doors before Ordley's flat.

Phoebe wrote:Sure I'll go ahead and look in the open door to see what we are dealing with.
I'll sneak down the corridor and pass Dirk's team, then down the hallway to the open door keeping and eye out for any traps. I'll take a quick peek into the room from the doorway and decide what to do from there..
Detect (4) 3+6 = 13
Sneak (5) 6+8 = 19
Hide (5) 7+6 = 17

Peering round the doorway you see a fairly sparse front room occupied by a bullet-riddled corpse who is completely unaware of you. He's male, human, and tackily dressed.
