Has anyone done magic-o-vision here? I'll do a quick ass-sense if not, see if there's any spirits or somesuch kicking around.

INT 4 + Assensing 3 = 7

5, 4, 4, 3, 2, 6, 2: 2 hits.

No one tried ass sense.

The awakened view of the area is much the same as Jooses enhanced senses see, it's dirty and grey with nothing standing out. You can't see if there's been spirits at the factory recently but you can tell there isn't any now.

Well that's good. Are there people wandering in and out?

At this distance there may well be people amongst the automatic loaders that keep the steady stream of parts moving, but you're not too sure given the pools of light and darkness the loaders generate as they hurry about their assigned paths.

Pete, can you explain to me how clairvoyance works. It says the range is touch, but that's not an awful lot of use because I cen see pretty much everything I can touch without the use of magic.

Actually, the "touch" part of the range is a bit misleading, it just means you can only cast it on yourself. The range you can use it to see by is Magic*horse in meters.

So 5m for every point of horse, I could reasonably try about 35m. That's not hugely far, but might be enough for me to have a gander inside.

Righto, time for some action. Lex will remove his hoody and baggy trousers, so he is just stealthsuited up, and go to stealthmode! I'll keep my bag on, with the rifle in it, just in case, as well as my pistol.

It wouldn't. You're grouped further away than that, the responses you've got from me are really as a result of Lex being able to see exceptionally well despite the dark.

If you wanted a look inside the main building with that 35 metre limit you would need to be inside the boundary fence of the factory. The offices can be reached from the drainage culvert on the other side of the road to the entrance.

If you want I can give a map with distances.

I'll hunt in my pockets for a cigar or some rum then.

I could try some acrobatics again, but I think it might be better to try the option not involving as much bodily harm. Does it look like there is enough room to sneak behind the guard shack?

Lex looks thoughtful for a moment.

We were never here is preferable. I think we should try that first.
Also Pete, you never answered my question about how possible it would be for me to sneak past the front gate.

There's room inside the perimeter fence for you to sneak past the little guard shack that's by the gates.

It is of course x possible, where x is the outcome of any stealth roles you make.

I'm not entirely sure what use I'll be sneaking about, so unless I've a particular reason not to I'll stay outside.

I'm going in. Through the gate, behind the guard shack unless anyone has a better idea.
